Abstract
The application advances of collagen and polypeptides in the fields as biology, medicine, food, cosmetic, feed, fertilizer, chemicals , etc. were summarized in this paper. Along with the biological functions and other properties are understood gradually, the studies on application of collagen are becoming a hot spot. The exploitation of new biological products using animal hides will greatly increase their additional values and have a good foreground.

Composition having lipolysis-promoting effect

Shanhua Xu
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an orally ingestible composition that has a lipolysis-promoting effect and an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory effect and has no problems with safety as a food such as side effects or toxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI

The in vivo effect of esculetin ointment and esculetin-mixed Zyderm for Zyderm.

TL;DR: An atelocollagen implant is used as a safe and effective scaffold material for tissue regeneration, suggesting that esculetin suppresses the biodegradation of Zyderm.

Process Optimization and Characterizations of Enzyme-Extracted and Acid-Extracted Collagen from Scale of Bighead Carp

TL;DR: In this article, enzymes (papain) extracted collagen (EEC) and acid (citric acid) extracted gelatin (AEC) were isolated from the scale of bighead carp.
Journal ArticleDOI

Profiled polyethylene terephthalate filaments that incorporate collagen and calcium phosphate enhance ligamentisation and bone formation.

TL;DR: The in vivo study indicated that the profiled PET/C/CaP ligament enhanced ligamentous matrix remodelling and bone formation in vivo, and their use is an effective strategy for promoting MSCs'ligamentous and osteogenic potential in vitro and enhancing ligament-bone healing in vivo.
