Abstract: Polymeric complexes of the empirical composition Hg(L-H)Cl and Hg2 (L-2H)Cl2 [L [dbnd] benzoylhydrzide (BH), oxaldihydrazide (ODH), malondihydrazide (MDH), isopropanone benzoylhydrazone (IBH), isopropanoneoxaldihydrazone (IODH) and isopropanonemalondihydrazone (IMDH)] have been prepared and characterized by analytical and infrared spectral data, X-ray powder diffraction and polarographic studies. Some of the complexes tested for antifungal and antibacterial activity are more active than the ligands.

Abstract: The synthesis, IR and Raman spectroscopic study, and X-ray diffraction analysis of [Ni(HL1)3](L2)2 · 4H2O (I), where HL1 is phenylacetic acid hydrazide and L2 is the benzoate monoanion, have been performed. The structural units of a crystal of complex I are complex [Ni(HL1)3]2+ cations, (L2)– anions, and crystallization water molecules. The nickel atom is coordinated to the three oxygen atoms at octahedron apices and the three nitrogen atoms of three bidentate chelate (О, N) ligands HL1 in cis,trans-meredianal (fac) conformation. The structural units of a crystal of complex I are bonded by a branched network of О–Н···О and N–H···O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract: Benzohydrazid as a ligand in coordination compounds has been characterized. Benzohydrazid and its complexes potential applications have been shown. A general description coordinate to the metal) has been done. The composition and structure of d-metals benzohydrazid complexes with different anions have been discussed. Halide, sulfate, nitrate, thiocyanate, perchlorate, nitrite, acetate complexes have been characterized for various central ions. Examples of complexes with benzohydrazid ketone and enol forms have been given. Complexes with solvate molecules of water and methanol have been considered. The general characteristics of the structures according to X-ray structural analysis are presented for some compounds. The peculiarities of benzohydrazid interaction with copper (II) salts with various anions have been denoted. The data on the vanadium complexes including benzohydrazid different degree of deprotonation are presented. The change of the way of benzohydrazid binding with mercury depending on the anion has been shown. Examples of bimetallic and mixed-ligand complexes have been given. The structure of the complexes [Co(НL)(Mal)(H2O)2]H2O (H2Mal– malonic acid), and [Co(НL)3](OH)Cl(Н3Ssal)H2O (Н3Ssal – 5-sulfosalicylic acid) is described. The aspects of the biological activity of some complexes (bactericidal, fungicidal, cytotoxic) have been considered.

Abstract: Using radionuclides of the elements Ca, Ce, Pm, Gd, Tb, and Yb, we have studied the partition of these lanthanides between fluorite and CaF2-saturated solutions of different pH values, but of constant 1 M (NaCl) ionic strength, at 100, 150, 200 and 250 °C and the corresponding saturation pressures. The partition quotients: (Q ca ) c, p = (n Ca ∗ ) c, p (n Ca ∗ ) L and (Q Ln ) c, p = (n Ln ) c, p (n Ln ) L as well as the partition coefficients: D = (Q Ln ) c,p (Q Ca ) c,p (n Ln ) c,p [Ca] L [Ln] L (n Ca ) c,p where: c = fluorite crystal, p = fluorite precipitate, L = liquid, and ∗ = radioactive , have been determined. Different coprecipitation and adsorption mechanisms are discussed.
