TL;DR: This paper illustrates a device which helps the customers place their orders, which is then transmitted to the kitchen with the help of Bluetooth and I2C protocol, and is not speaker dependent.
Abstract: Daily activities in a person's life are being automated in order to save time and effort. This paper aims at making the waiter system in restaurants automatic. The person sitting at a restaurant table can order the food whenever he wants, making it easy for both the customer and the hotel management. This paper illustrates a device which helps the customers place their orders, which is then transmitted to the kitchen with the help of Bluetooth and I2C protocol. The paper talks about using smartphones for speech processing and hence it is not speaker dependent. With the help of the smartphone, the order of the customer in the form of speech is converted to text. This is then sent to the device present on the table which uses a Bluetooth module to communicate with the smartphone. Once the text is received, it is then transmitted to the master node present in the kitchen using the I2C protocol. The paper also talks about placing orders sitting at home, without having to give any additional information like the address or the phone number. The paper aims at simplifying the way of placing orders in order to save the customers' time and effort.

TL;DR: This research proposes Fuzzy based Analytic Hierarchical Process (FAHP), which is utilized for considering user perception to access the making of decision, using data mining technology to extract useful information from the existing hotel business data to establish customer segmentation model and support the decision layer to analyze the data from multi-angle and multi-level around the decision-making topic.
Abstract: Hotel industry, as the pillar industry of the tertiary industry, is developing at a rapid pace under the background of rapid economic growth and strong support for the tourism industry. At the same time, it also faces fierce competition at home and abroad. In the information age, more and more hotels choose informationalized management, in order to reflect the competitive advantage of the enterprise with better services, higher efficiency and lower costs. The current hotel management system has been widely used in all aspects of hotel management, integrating reception, backstage financial processing and material procurement functions in one, which basically meets the needs of the daily management of the hotel. With the advancement of the hotel information process, hotel business data also shows explosive growth. However, these data have not been effectively developed and used. This research proposes Fuzzy based Analytic Hierarchical Process (FAHP), which is utilized for considering user perception to access the making of decision. The business data processing of the management of hotels is limited to simple collection, storage, and statistics. The information obtained is superficial and regular, which cannot meet the current “customer-centered” marketing strategy of the hotel. This topic is based on the conventional hotel management system, using data mining technology to extract useful information from the existing hotel business data to establish customer segmentation model and support the decision layer to analyze the data from multi-angle and multi-level around the decision-making topic, so as to truly realize the “customer-centered” concept, improve hotel service level and improve the core competitiveness of enterprises.

TL;DR: This paper aims at a simplistic approach to lock the clock line of the I2C using logic gates so as to protect the information passing through the data lines.
Abstract: The inter-integrated circuit is a serial, half-duplex protocol. It is a synchronous device that can implement multi-masters and multi-slaves. The masters are the controlling blocks that initiate all activities of the slaves. It is important to ensure that this communication is secured. This paper aims at a simplistic approach to lock the clock line of the I2C using logic gates so as to protect the information passing through the data lines. It makes use of a four-digit hexadecimal password. This allows up to 65,536 combinations enhancing the security and to gain additional control over I2C. This proposal uses a concept of logic locking to gain security.

TL;DR: In this article , an embedded system that integrates a GPS module with sensors for monitoring agricultural variables such as the chlorophyll index in plants, pH, electrical conductivity, and soil temperature is presented.
Abstract: This paper defines the construction and implementation of an embedded system through advanced information and communication technologies in agriculture (smart and precision agriculture). The development consists of an embedded system that integrates a GPS module with sensors for monitoring agricultural variables such as the chlorophyll index in plants, pH, electrical conductivity, and soil temperature. In addition, this device integrates a solar panel with a battery through a control system. The precision of this device was contrasted with measurement instruments used in soil laboratories, achieving adequate performance for monitoring agricultural variables that facilitate decision-making in crop management. Another aspect to highlight is the robust and modular design, developed and implemented in the casing and structural components of the embedded system.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors introduce the knowledge of FPGA, IIC bus system, and simulation software, and rewrites the IC bus using FPGAs, and finally successfully derives the simulation waveform to enhance the promotion of IIC technology.
Abstract: The Inter-Integrated Circuit (IIC) bus has been widely used in the industry these years. Because it is very simple and bidirectional, IIC has been widely developed in the field of communication engineering and electronic engineering. It is simple and bidirectional. Developed by Philips, IIC just requires two wires to transfer information. The Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is the product of further development of programmable devices. IIC work out the shortcomings of custom circuits and the problem of the restricted number of gates of the primitive programmable devices. This paper introduces the knowledge of FPGA, IIC bus system, and simulation software, and rewrites the IIC bus using FPGA, and finally successfully derives the simulation waveform to enhance the promotion of IIC technology. There is no doubt that the research of this paper further strengthens the development of IIC bus technology, promotes the application of IIC bus technology and promotes the progress of communication industry.

TL;DR: This design method was design in VHDL, implementation in FPGA and applied in bio-logging design for RTC and light sensor which are based on I2C protocol, and the correctness efficiency can be confirmed by simulation results.
Abstract: One I2C protocol design method for reusability was proposed. In this method, design was divided into 3 levels: protocol level, signal level and interface level. Protocol level can be reused without any modification. Signal level can be reused by setting the number of be transferred byte according to specific operation. Interface level can be reused by changing the number of operation mode and the duration of every mode. Interface level is more complicated for reusability because different device has different number of operation mode. For low power reason, not all functions of I2C were designed. This design method was design in VHDL, implementation in FPGA and applied in bio-logging design for RTC and light sensor which are based on I2C protocol. The data acquired by light sensor were transferred through RS232 to PC and stored into text file. The file was shown into graph by using Matlab. The data acquired by RTC were shown by RS232 tool. The correctness efficiency can be confirmed by simulation results.

TL;DR: This study introduces the initial step of an automatic translation system able to translate visual speech used by deaf individuals to text, or auditory speech, to enable deaf users to communicate with each other and with normal-hearing people through telephone networks or through Internet by only using telephone devices equipped with simple cameras.
Abstract: The access to communication technologies has become essential for the handicapped people. This study introduces the initial step of an automatic translation system able to translate visual speech used by deaf individuals to text, or auditory speech. A such a system would enable deaf users to communicate with each other and with normal-hearing people through telephone networks or through Internet by only using telephone devices equipped with simple cameras. In particular, this paper introduces automatic recognition and conversion to text of Cued Speech for French. Cued speech is a visual mode used for communication in the deaf society. Using hand shapes placed in different positions near the face as a complement to lipreading, all the sounds of a spoken language can be visually distinguished and perceived. Experimental results show high recognition rates for both isolated word and continuous phoneme recognition experiments in Cued Speech for French.

TL;DR: This system has many advantages: enhance the voice quality of broadcasting, encrypts the voice data for secret communication and reduce the overall system cost for construction and maintenance.
Abstract: Conventionally, local area audio broadcasting systems use analog channels for voice transmission. They are constructed with one main voice transmitter and many loudspeakers. The inherent disadvantages lie in the difficulties to make individual or restricted area communication without additional complex switching box; besides, a pre-planed wiring are necessary, which makes any on-line re-distribution almost impossible. To overcome above problems, the system developed here uses digital voice transmission upon I2C network. This system has many advantages: enhance the voice quality of broadcasting, encrypts the voice data for secret communication and reduce the overall system cost for construction and maintenance. Other devices such as sensors and actuators can be added or removed from this I2C bus easily; therefore a cost effective network of communication with security/monitoring functions for buildings, plants or communities can be built.

TL;DR: Results show that the recognition of spontaneous speech is less effective even in case of adapted language models and that considerable difference of speech recognition accuracy can be traced back both to the acoustic and language models, depending on the type and characteristics of the database they come from.
Abstract: Automatic recognition of spontaneous speech speech to text transformation is one of the most challenging tasks today. Whilst the recognition of read or formal speech (e.g. dictation) is possible for several languages by high accuracy rates allowing also commercial exploitation, the automatic recognition of spontaneous speech is a harder task, yielding at most about 50% accuracy. This is due to the characteristics of spontaneous speech, which shows an ‘irregular’ behaviour: insertions, abbreviations, truncations, uncompleted sentences, higher variability of both the acoustic and the linguistic features of speech. In this paper, automatic speech recognition of spontaneous and semi-spontaneous speech is evaluated and compared, using two speech databases to train the acoustic models and using statistical language models adapted for spontaneous speech and covering spontaneous and semi spontaneous job interview tasks. The involved speech databases are the HuComTech multi-modal database (training of acoustic and language models for spontaneous speech) and the Hungarian Reference Speech Database (training of non spontaneous acoustic models). Results show as expected that the recognition of spontaneous speech is less effective even in case of adapted language models and that considerable difference of speech recognition accuracy can be traced back both to the acoustic and language models, depending on the type and characteristics of the database they come from.

TL;DR: This paper proposes the no-touch mechanism with the help of proximity sensor and Text to Speech and speech to text systems and just in case any accident happens it will drop the message to the emergency number.
Abstract: Smart phones with touch screen have become very popular and it has changed the behaviour of using handsets as many applications and features are inbuilt into it. But this smart phones are not safe to handle at the time of driving as the user have to touch the small icons of the screen and while doing that he may lose the concentration which increase the accident risk. So to avoid this problem this paper proposes the no-touch mechanism with the help of proximity sensor and Text to Speech and speech to text systems. And just in case any accident happens it will drop the message to the emergency number. As there is no touch mechanism we can initiate the applications without touching the screen by just waving the hand on proximity sensor twice. Text to Speech (TTS) and Speech to Text (STT) Systems are used for notification of the incoming messages through the voice and if user wishes to call to the particular contact in his contact list he can just call the name of that person and the call will get connected.
