Housing for circuit board and power components, has deformable thermally-conductive medium arranged between circuit board and base of other half of housing

Ahmet Özcapi
TL;DR: In this article, a deformed thermally-conductive medium (7) is arranged between the circuit board and the base of the other housing half, such as a paste.
Journal ArticleDOI

Power Electronics Component Location and Heat Sink Length Optimization - Hybrid Electrical Vehicle (HEV)

TL;DR: This paper focuses on optimizing best location of PE components with heatsink and optimizing the length of heatsink in order to reduce the overall temperature of a Hybrid Electrical Vehicle (HEV) inverter and shrink the packaging size which will lead to cost reduction in manufacturing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Numerical study on significance of wave amplitude, wavelength and aspect ratio on heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics in circular wavy MC heat sink design:

TL;DR: In this paper, the hydrothermal characteristics in a circular wavy microchannel (CWMC) design under laminar flow conditions with uniform heat flux are numerically studied.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Thermal Resistance Model of Packaging for RF High Power Devices

TL;DR: In this article, an analytical expression for thermal resistance of packaging for high power devices is presented, where the interface thermal effect, sintering void and active area ratio are taken into account in this model.

Effect of Horizontal Spacing and Tilt Angle on Thermo-Buoyant Natural Convection from Two Horizontally Aligned Square Cylinders

TL;DR: In this article, a finite-volume method (FVM) approach was used to quantify the heat transfer from two horizontally aligned square cylinders, and the results were represented in terms of temperature contours and streamlines, velocity and temperature profiles, mass flow rate in the passage between the cylinders, local and average Nu and the drag coefficient.
