Effects of carbon blacks with various structures on vulcanization and reinforcement of filled ethylene-propylene-diene rubber
Z. H. Li,Jun Zhang,S. J. Chen +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of carbon blacks on vulcanization and mechanical properties of filled EPDM by comparing with five types of rubber-grade carbon blacks are investigated, and the results indicate that the curing characteristics are influenced by combination of surface area of carbon black and sulphur content on the filler surface.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of different curing systems on the mechanical and physico-chemical properties of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber vulcanizates
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of different curing systems on acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) was studied and the comparison was carried out at comparable value of volume fraction of rubber in swollen gel (Vr) for NBR vulcanizates.

The effect of a compatibilizer on the mechanical properties and mass swell of white rice husk ash filled natural rubber/linear low density polyethylene blends
TL;DR: In this paper, white rice husk ash (WRHA) filled natural rubber (NR)/linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) blends with and without a compatibilizer, poly (propylene-ethylene-acrylic acid), (PPEAA), were produced using an internal mixer.

Compatibility studies on some polymer blend systems by electrical and mechanical techniques
TL;DR: In this paper, the compatibility results obtained from dielectric measurements were comparable with those obtained from the calculation of the heat of mixing, which was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy and showed that the addition of either SBR or PVC could improve the compatibility of such blends to some extent.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of mixing sequence in the preparation of white rice husk ash filled polypropylene/ethylene-propylene-diene monomer blend
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of mixing sequences on mechanical properties of the blends were studied and the results indicated that all the blends prepared have similar ultimate tensile strength, tear strength, and hardness except the blend prepared following the fourth mixing sequence.
