Diclofenac removal from water by adsorption using activated carbon in batch mode and fixed-bed column: isotherms, thermodynamic study and breakthrough curves modeling.
Marcela Andrea Espina de Franco,Cassandra Bonfante de Carvalho,Mariana Marques Bonetto,Rafael de Pelegrini Soares,Liliana Amaral Féris +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, diclofenac adsorption was studied using activated carbon as adsorbent in batch process and fixed-bed column and the results showed that the amount adsorbed by the packed column was better predicted by Thomas equation.

Comparative study on 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and 2,4-dichlorophenol removal from aqueous solutions via ozonation, photocatalysis and non-thermal plasma using a planar falling film reactor.
Kosar Hikmat Hama Aziz,Kosar Hikmat Hama Aziz,Hans Miessner,Siegfried Mueller,Ali Mahyar,Dieter Kalass,Detlev Moeller,Ibrahim Khorshid,Muhammad Amin M. Rashid +8 more
TL;DR: The degradation by using ozone is very effective, but it should be noted that the mineralization measured by the total organic carbon (TOC) removal is low, which is the formation of stable towards ozone intermediates, especially low chain carboxylic acids.
