TLDR
A two-dimensional regularized phase-tracking technique that is capable of demodulating a single fringe pattern with either open or closed fringes and gives the detected phase continuously so that no further unwrapping is needed over the detectedphase.
Abstract
We present a two-dimensional regularized phase-tracking technique that is capable of demodulating a single fringe pattern with either open or closed fringes. The proposed regularized phase-tracking system gives the detected phase continuously so that no further unwrapping is needed over the detected phase.

Fourier-transform method of fringe-pattern analysis for computer-based topography and interferometry

TL;DR: In this article, a fast Fourier transform method of topography and interferometry is proposed to discriminate between elevation and depression of the object or wave-front form, which has not been possible by the fringe-contour generation techniques.

Digital wavefront measuring interferometer for testing optical surfaces and lenses

TL;DR: In this article, a self-scanned 1024 element photodiode array and a minicomputer are used to measure the phase (wavefront) in the interference pattern of an interferometer to lambda/100.

Two-dimensional windowed Fourier transform for fringe pattern analysis: Principles, applications and implementations

TL;DR: Two algorithms, one based on filtering and the other based on similarity measure, are developed and some applications based on these two algorithms are explored, including strain determination, phase unwrapping, phase-shifter calibration, fault detection, edge detection and fringe segmentation.

Windowed Fourier transform for fringe pattern analysis

TL;DR: Two approaches are developed on the extraction of phase and phase derivatives from either phase-shifted fringe patterns or a single carrier fringe pattern based on the best match between the fringe pattern and computer-generated windowed exponential elements.

Review of single-shot 3D shape measurement by phase calculation-based fringe projection techniques

TL;DR: The single-shot 3D shape measurement techniques by projecting and capturing one fringe pattern image on the object surface, the wrapped phase demodulation algorithms from one captured image are reviewed.

On the statistical analysis of dirty pictures

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an iterative method for scene reconstruction based on a non-degenerate Markov Random Field (MRF) model, where the local characteristics of the original scene can be represented by a nondegenerate MRF and the reconstruction can be estimated according to standard criteria.

TL;DR: In this paper, a completely rewritten chapter was added to cover wavefront fitting and evaluation as well as holographic and Moire methods, and an appendix was added suggesting appropriate tests for typical optical surfaces.
