Abstract: India is a country which is having more population and it is very important to feed the food sufficiently to all the people. The main thing which is needed to fulfil this requirement is well equipped “agriculture” with enough water and minerals in the soil maintaining this is bit problematic. So integrating the agriculture field with Technology will make sound. Automatic soil features and condition fetching and decision taking can be done by using sensors and actuators, growing the seed and getting the yield is not the only thing, we can also provide security to farm land as well as to the product(obtained yield).

Abstract: Internet of things (IoT) is a promising technology which provides efficient and reliable solutions towards the modernization of several domains. IoT based solutions are being developed to automatically maintain and monitor agricultural farms with minimal human involvement. The article presents many aspects of technologies involved in the domain of IoT in agriculture. It explains the major components of IoT based smart farming. A rigorous discussion on network technologies used in IoT based agriculture has been presented, that involves network architecture and layers, network topologies used, and protocols. Furthermore, the connection of IoT based agriculture systems with relevant technologies including cloud computing, big data storage and analytics has also been presented. In addition, security issues in IoT agriculture have been highlighted. A list of smart phone based and sensor based applications developed for different aspects of farm management has also been presented. Lastly, the regulations and policies made by several countries to standardize IoT based agriculture have been presented along with few available success stories. In the end, some open research issues and challenges in IoT agriculture field have been presented.

Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) and smart computing technologies have revolutionized every sphere of 21st century humans. IoT technologies and the data driven services they offer were beyond imagination just a decade ago. Now, they surround us and influence a variety of domains such as automobile, smart home, healthcare, etc. In particular, the Agriculture and Farming industries have also embraced this technological intervention. Smart devices are widely used by a range of people from farmers to entrepreneurs. These technologies are used in a variety of ways, from finding real-time status of crops and soil moisture content to deploying drones to assist with tasks such as applying pesticide spray. However, the use of IoT and smart communication technologies introduce a vast exposure to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities in smart farming environments. Such cyber attacks have the potential to disrupt the economies of countries that are widely dependent on agriculture. In this paper, we present a holistic study on security and privacy in a smart farming ecosystem. The paper outlines a multi layered architecture relevant to the precision agriculture domain and discusses the security and privacy issues in this dynamic and distributed cyber physical environment. Further more, the paper elaborates on potential cyber attack scenarios and highlights open research challenges and future directions.

Abstract: The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), an application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the medical domain, allows data to be transmitted across communication networks. In particular, IoMT can help improve the quality of life of citizens and older people by monitoring and managing the body’s vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and others. Since IoMT has become the main platform for information exchange and making high-level decisions, it is necessary to guarantee its reliability and security. The growth of IoMT in recent decades has attracted the interest of many experts. This study provides an in-depth analysis of IoT and IoMT by focusing on security concerns from different points of view, making this comprehensive survey unique compared to other existing studies. A total of 187 articles from 2010 to 2022 are collected and categorized according to the type of applications, year of publications, variety of applications, and other novel perspectives. We compare the current studies based on the above criteria and provide a comprehensive analysis to pave the way for researchers working in this area. In addition, we highlight the trends and future work. We have found that blockchain, as a key technology, has solved many problems of security, authentication, and maintenance of IoT systems due to the decentralized nature of the blockchain. In the current study, this technology is examined from the application fields’ points of view, especially in the health sector, due to its additional importance compared to other fields.

Abstract: Water plays a crucial role in the agricultural field for food production and raising livestock. Given the current trends in world population growth, the urgent food demand that must be answered by agriculture highly depends on our ability to efficiently exploit the available water resources. Among critical issues, there is water management. Recently, innovative technologies have improved water management and monitoring in agriculture. Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Networks and Cloud Computing, have been used in diverse contexts in agriculture. By focusing on the water management challenge in general, existing approaches are aiming at optimizing water usage, and improving the quality and quantity of agricultural crops, while minimizing the need for direct human intervention. This is achieved by smoothing the water monitoring process, by applying the right automation level, and allowing farmers getting connected anywhere and anytime to their farms. There are plenty of challenges in agriculture involving water: water pollution monitoring, water reuse, monitoring water pipeline distribution network for irrigation, drinking water for livestock, etc. Several studies have been devoted to these questions in the recent decade. Therefore, this paper presents a survey on recent works dealing with water management and monitoring in agriculture, supported by advanced technologies. It also discusses some open challenges based on which relevant research directions can be drawn in the future, regarding the use of modern smart concepts and tools for water management and monitoring in the agriculture domain.

These proprietary systems make it difficult to extend systems to support new services, integrate new data, and interoperate with other M2M systems. Abstract: Agriculture has been one of the most important industries in human history since it provides humans with absolutely indispensable resources such as food, fiber, and energy. The agriculture industry could be further developed by employing new technologies, in particular, the Internet of Things (IoT). In this paper, we present a connected farm based on IoT systems, which aims to provide smart farming systems for end users. A detailed design and implementation for connected farms are illustrated, and its advantages are explained with service scenarios compared to previous smart farms. We hope this work will show the power of IoT as a disruptive technology helping across multi industries including agriculture.

Today we are living in 21st century where automation is playing important role in human life. Automation allows us to control appliances automatic control. It not only provide comfort but also reduce energy, efficiency and time saving. Today industries are use automation and control machine which is high in cost and not suitable for using in a farm field. So here we also design a smart irrigation technology in low cost which is usable by Indian farmers. Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) enables various applications (crop growth monitoring and selection, irrigation decision support, etc) in Digital Agriculture domain. Semantic enhancements to IoT platforms address challenges of interoperability, data fusion, integration of heterogeneous IoT silos, annotation of data streams, just to name a few. This paper discusses the recently developed OpenIoT platform which demonstrated its applicability and efficiency in a number of use cases, including a Digital Agriculture use case (Phenonet). An ontology to represent Phenonet domain concepts in order to facilitate smart collection, annotation, validation, processing and storing of data streams from sensors in the field has been proposed and the results of experimental study, related semantic queries and reasoning using the ontology are presented. A Do-It-Yourself principle-driven zero-programming enabling Phenonet user interface demonstrates benefits, novelty and efficiency of the approach.

Abstract: The field of Cloud computing is helping in leaps and bounds to improvise our age old business - Agriculture. Practical applications can be built from the economic consumption of cloud computing devices that can create a whole computing ecosystem, from sensors to tools that observe data from agricultural field images and from human actors on the ground and accurately feed the data into repositories along with their location as GPS co-ordinates. In reality, sensors are now able to detect the position of water sources in a subject that is being investigated. Issues related to farmers are always hampering the course of our evolution. One of the answer to these types of problems is to help the farmers using modernization techniques. This paper proposes an approach combining the advantages of the major characteristics of emerging technologies such as Internet of Things(IoT) and Web Services inorder to construct an efficient approach to handle the enormous data involved in agrarian output. The approach uses the combination of IoT and cloud computing that promotes the fast development of agricultural modernization and helps to realize smart solution for agriculture and efficiently solve the issues related to farmers.
