Abstract: One or more methods and systems of detecting or identifying one or more types of algorithms used in the encoding of a voice or speech waveform is presented. The system and method may be used as a testing tool to identify whether a voice data stream is encoded using a linear G.711, μ-law G.711, or A-law G.711 algorithm. The system and method are applied to a voice data stream to ensure that a codec with the appropriate algorithm is used to reproduce an audio waveform.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a coding scheme for a voice channel remote control method with a good use effect in the technical field of air voice services, and particularly related to a VCR method.
Abstract: The invention belongs to the technical field of air voice services, and particularly relates to a voice channel remote control method. In order to solve the problems, the invention provides the voicechannel remote control method with a good use effect. In order to achieve the purpose, the invention adopts the following technical scheme: the voice channel remote control method comprises the following coding formula: in the formula, x is compression normalization input voltage; y is a compression normalization output voltage; A is a constant; F(x) is a transformed sampling value, and the corresponding decoding formula is an inverse function of the function; and y is a sampling value obtained by quantizing F (x).

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a new appliance configuration: charging holster, piggyback charger, fuel cell integral with rechargeable battery with voltage regulating electronics, supplying fuel through a tube with a valve or pump, and supplying power though an electric cable between the fuel cell and the electronic device.
Abstract: Coupling miniature liquid fueled fuel cells with portable electrical devices, with or without rechargeable batteries, lead to new appliance configurations: charging holster, piggyback charger, fuel cell integral with rechargeable battery, fuel cell with voltage regulating electronics, supplying fuel through a tube with a valve or pump, and supplying power though an electric cable between the fuel cell and the electronic device and the fuel cell power pack having independent communication and functions from the portable electrical devices. In all of these configurations there may be a window showing the fuel level of a disposable fuel ampoule or refillable fuel tank. Fuel is distributed through disposable fuel ampoules in blister packages, or refueling bottles. Adjustable moisture and thermal internal insulation allows fuel cells to run at elevated temperatures. These design features permit greater performance, workability, and convenience to the user of these portable electronics. Additionally, these MICRO-FUEL CELL arrays, which pack more energy into a small space, may be mass produced on a plastic film in a reel-to-reel process.

TL;DR: In this article, a method and apparatus allows proximity connections to an image enabled mobile terminal to exploit image capabilities of the mobile terminal for video conferencing scenario 500 is enabled by exploiting imaging capabilities of mobile terminals in lieu of a PC mounted camera.
Abstract: A method and apparatus allows proximity connections to an image enabled mobile terminal to exploit image capabilities of the mobile terminal. Mobile terminals (504 and 512) interact with Personal Computers (PC) (506 and 510) via Bluetooth connections (516 and 522) to transfer audio/video data as required to support specified activities. Video conferencing scenario 500 is enabled by exploiting imaging capabilities of the mobile terminals in lieu of a PC mounted camera. Other applications involve security, licensing, video enhancement, and gaming features that may be implemented with the present invention.

TL;DR: In this article, a speech classification technique for robust classification of varying modes of speech to enable maximum performance of multi-mode variable bit rate encoding techniques is presented, where a speech classifier accurately classifies a high percentage of speech segments for encoding at minimal bit rates, meeting lower bit rate requirements.
Abstract: A speech classification technique for robust classification of varying modes of speech to enable maximum performance of multi-mode variable bit rate encoding techniques. A speech classifier accurately classifies a high percentage of speech segments for encoding at minimal bit rates, meeting lower bit rate requirements. Highly accurate speech classification produces a lower average encoded bit rate, and higher quality decoded speech. The speech classifier considers a maximum number of parameters for each frame of speech, producing numerous and accurate speech mode classifications for each frame. The speech classifier correctly classifies numerous modes of speech under varying environmental conditions. The speech classifier inputs classification parameters from external components, generates internal classification parameters from the input parameters, sets a Normalized Auto-correlation Coefficient Function threshold and selects a parameter analyzer according to the signal environment, and then analyzes the parameters to produce a speech mode classification.

Abstract: One or more methods and systems of analyzing, assessing, and reporting voice quality scores are presented. In one embodiment, voice quality scores are generated by querying one or more computing devices responsible for processing a reference speech sample input into a voice communication system. In one embodiment, voice quality scores are transmitted by a voice analysis platform and subsequently analyzed. In one embodiment, a single voice analysis platform is used to measure voice quality of a voice communication system. In one embodiment, multiple voice analysis platforms are used to measure voice quality at multiple endpoints of one or more voice communication systems. In one embodiment, the method comprises a user determining one or more points along a communication system where transmitted reference speech samples are to be tapped. The tapped reference speech samples are ported to a voice analysis platform where a voice quality score is generated and graphically displayed.
