Developing an electronic commerce platform

TL;DR: The background for developing an electronic commerce application, principles and methods involved in developing an ecommerce application are discussed, which indicate that the process of shopping on the web is becoming common.
Abstract: Electronic Commerce applications support the interaction between various parties participating in a commerce transaction as well as the management of the data involved in the process via the network or the internet. Electronic commerce is gaining traction as an acknowledged and used business model. More and more corporates are implementing web sites providing functionality for performing commercial transactions over the internet to better reach customers as it is sensible to say that the process of shopping on the web is becoming common. In this article we intend to discuss the background for developing an electronic commerce application, principles and methods involved in developing an ecommerce application.

Abstract: These days, Indonesia has entered the era of Industry 4.0 which is marked by the development of all-digital technology and automation. With the increasing rate of technology development that changes people’s lives, people are becoming fond of anything fast and instant. With the help of these technological advancements, we create an application that makes it easier for users that are willing to hold events. This application connects 2 entities, which are users and an event organizer. The event organizer can easily find their market and other hands easy as well for the user for finding the market for event organization activities. The business processes in this application were designed with a use case diagram, and the tables in the database were designed with the class diagram and the menu of the application with User Interface (UI). However, this proposed application just only an introduction and needs to be explored for those who are interested to explore entrepreneurship in these areas.

Abstract: Traditional Thai craftsmanship is in danger of going extinct owing to the pressures of modern development. Therefore, the objectives of this study were to develop the e-commerce system of traditional Thai craftsmanship. The instruments research used for data gathering were in-depth interviews and questionnaire. The traditional SDLC was used for system development. The main results are summarized as follows: (1) The content of traditional Thai craftsmanship that has been registered as a national cultural heritage in 2009–2015 which can be developed into a creative economy consists of registration year, history, production, production area, special characteristics or identity, value and utility; (2) The developed e-commerce system is divided the work into 4 groups: non-member users, buyers, sellers and administrators to support comprehensive work. This system is considered as a way to help preserve the traditional craftsmanship of Thailand to be able to remain in Thai society.
