TLDR
The first case was of interest, since he was a child of superior intellectual capacities without any history of dyslexia, and the presence of Gerstmann’s syndrome in childhood was reported.
Abstract
Frank Benson and I published this paper for several reasons. Kinsbourne and Warrington had already reported the presence of Gerstmann’s syndrome in childhood. Our first case was of interest, however, since he was a child of superior intellectual capacities without any history of dyslexia.

Three parietal circuits for number processing

TL;DR: The horizontal segment of the intraparietal sulcus appears as a plausible candidate for domain specificity: It is systematically activated whenever numbers are manipulated, independently of number notation, and with increasing activation as the task puts greater emphasis on quantity processing.

Cerebral lateralization. Biological mechanisms, associations, and pathology: II. A hypothesis and a program for research.

TL;DR: The hypothesis is that slowed growth within certain zones of the left hemisphere is likely to result in enlargement of other cortical regions, in particular, the homologous contralateral area, but also adjacent unfaffected regions.

Abstract representations of numbers in the animal and human brain

TL;DR: The number domain is a prime example where strong evidence points to an evolutionary endowment of abstract domain-specific knowledge in the brain because there are parallels between number processing in animals and humans.

Developmental trajectory of number acuity reveals a severe impairment in developmental dyscalculia

TL;DR: It is shown that number acuity improves with age in typically developing children, establishing for the first time a clear association between dyscalculia and impaired "number sense", and may open up new horizons for the early diagnosis and rehabilitation of mathematical learning deficits.
Journal ArticleDOI

Number development and developmental dyscalculia

TL;DR: A four‐step developmental model that allows prediction of different pathways for DD is presented and the core‐system representation of numerical magnitude provides the meaning of ‘number’, a precondition to acquiring linguistic and Arabic number symbols, while a growing working memory enables neuroplastic development of an expanding mental number line during school years.

The fiction of the "gerstmann syndrome".

TL;DR: The study examines the question of whether this "assembly ofunlikely andunexpected symptoms" (Critchley, 1953) isanaturally occurring combination or whether itisonly one ofavery large number of moreorless fortuitous combinations of behavioural deficits whichmaybeencountered in patients withcerebral disease.

Two cytogenetic syndromes: Psychologic comparisons 1. Intelligence and specific-factor quotients

TL;DR: Thirty-eight patients with Turner's syndrome and 23 with Klinefelter's syndrome have been studied, and it is suggested that a degree of space-form dysgnosia and adegree of dyscalculia may be characteristic symptoms of Turner's Syndrome.

The developmental Gerstmann syndrome.

TL;DR: The Gerstmann syndrome 7 (finger agnosia, right-left disorientation, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia) has long been recognized as indicative of disease of the parietal lobe of the dominant hemisphere and appears to be due to impairment of a basic physiological function involving sequential ordering.
