Abstract
This paper surveys current technology and research in the area of digital color imaging. In order to establish the background and lay down terminology, fundamental concepts of color perception and measurement are first presented us-ing vector-space notation and terminology. Present-day color recording and reproduction systems are reviewed along with the common mathematical models used for representing these devices. Algorithms for processing color images for display and communication are surveyed, and a forecast of research trends is attempted. An extensive bibliography is provided.

Vector order-statistics for impulse detection in noisy color image sequences

R. Lukac
TL;DR: In this article, a new three-dimensional vector filtering approach for the impulse noise suppression in noisy color image sequences is proposed, which is controlled by the binary decision rule, where only affected samples are estimated whereas noisy image points are passed to a filter output.

Preparation and Characterization of Lactobacilli‐Loaded Composite Films with Sustaining Antipathogenic Activity and Preservation Effect

TL;DR: The prepared films containing lactic acid bacteria showed great physical property, antipathogenic activity, and fresh-keeping property preservation, and have great application potential in fresh food preservation.

Colorimetric modeling for vision systems

TL;DR: It appears that the proposed technique can establish an accurate colorimetric model for vision systems, and a spectral matching method and an approach of determining a reference-white luminance are presented.

Traffic Signs Detection and Recognition by Improved RBFNN

TL;DR: Genetic algorithm (GA), which has a powerful global exploration capability, is applied to train RBFNN to obtain appropriate structures and parameters according to given objective functions in the traffic signs recognition.

Color quantization of digital images

TL;DR: In this article, a two-stage color quantization method is proposed, in which a palette selection scheme suitable to the quantization level requirement is chosen and an initial palette is selected.

Some methods for classification and analysis of multivariate observations

TL;DR: The k-means algorithm as mentioned in this paper partitions an N-dimensional population into k sets on the basis of a sample, which is a generalization of the ordinary sample mean, and it is shown to give partitions which are reasonably efficient in the sense of within-class variance.

Least squares quantization in PCM

TL;DR: In this article, the authors derived necessary conditions for any finite number of quanta and associated quantization intervals of an optimum finite quantization scheme to achieve minimum average quantization noise power.

Vector Quantization and Signal Compression

TL;DR: The author explains the design and implementation of the Levinson-Durbin Algorithm, which automates the very labor-intensive and therefore time-heavy and expensive process of designing and implementing a Quantizer.
