Abstract
This paper surveys current technology and research in the area of digital color imaging. In order to establish the background and lay down terminology, fundamental concepts of color perception and measurement are first presented us-ing vector-space notation and terminology. Present-day color recording and reproduction systems are reviewed along with the common mathematical models used for representing these devices. Algorithms for processing color images for display and communication are surveyed, and a forecast of research trends is attempted. An extensive bibliography is provided.

Constrained quantization algorithm for color images

TL;DR: A new algorithm is presented that not only improves the total variance, but also provides a useful maximum error guarantee, and the experiments indicate the new quantizer is a better choice in some practical operations.

Color Matching Research Based on Octree-LSD Method and Kansei Engineering: A Case Study of Typical Images of the Grain Rain

TL;DR: This method combines scientific calculation methods, western scientific color systems and empirical subjective opinions, which insure that the color schemes obtained by this method can not only be valid but also consistent with people’s cognition.

Power Optimization in Turbo Coded Halftoned Images

TL;DR: The a priori knowledge of the dither matrix used in the generation of halftoned images is used, to reduce the number of iterations and hence obtain a reduction in the turbo decoder power consumption and also a lower latency at the receiver.

A Color Recovery Algorithm Based on Color Space Transformation

TL;DR: To verify the effectiveness of color correction algorithm, a set of images taken under CIE A illuminant which are yellow-biased were processed and results show that with the color Correction algorithm based on color space transformation, the accuracy rate of the recovered image improved by 68.98% compared with the original image.

Some methods for classification and analysis of multivariate observations

TL;DR: The k-means algorithm as mentioned in this paper partitions an N-dimensional population into k sets on the basis of a sample, which is a generalization of the ordinary sample mean, and it is shown to give partitions which are reasonably efficient in the sense of within-class variance.
