Dipionic decays of psions in a local derivative coupling model

01 May 1978-Pramana (Springer Science and Business Media LLC)-Vol. 10, Iss: 5, pp 545-550
TL;DR: In this paper, a local derivative coupling model is used to study the dipionic decays of the psions at the present level of experimental data available, and the results obtained are quite satisfactory.
Abstract: A local derivative coupling model is used to study theφ′→ππ and other dipionic decays ofφ andφ″, as an alternative to thee-model. The results obtained are quite satisfactory. We findt hat the existence of thee-resonance is not essential in order to understand the dipionic decays of the psions at the present level of experimental data available.

TL;DR: The branching ratio for the particular decay mode with a branching ratio of 0.08 was obtained in this article for the two pions in this decay mode when both pions are in a state of zero isospin.
Abstract: We observe $\ensuremath{\psi}(3684)$ to decay into $\ensuremath{\psi}(3095)$ with a branching ratio of 0.57 \ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{} 0.08. The branching ratio for the particular decay mode $\ensuremath{\psi}(3095)+{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}+{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ is measured to be 0.32 \ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{} 0.04. Remaining decays leading to $\ensuremath{\psi}(3095)$ are largely, but not entirely, accounted for by the mode $\ensuremath{\psi}(3095)+{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}+{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ if the two pions in this decay are in a state of zero isospin.

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that isospin is conserved in the decay of the decay psi (3684)..-->..psi (3095)..pi pi.
Abstract: The decay psi (3684) ..-->..psi (3095) eta has been observed to have a branching fraction of (4.3+-0.8) %. This measurement, together with previous measurements of psi (3684) ..-->..psi (3095)+ anything, psi (3684) ..-->..psi (3095) ..pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/, and psi (3684) ..-->..psi (3095) ..gamma gamma.., indicates that isospin is conserved in the decay psi (3684) ..-->..psi (3095) ..pi pi.. and establishes the isospin and G parity of the psi (3684) to be I/subG/=0/sup -/. TL;DR: In this paper, the radiative decay and photoproduction data of the new and the old vector mesons are described in the framework of a VMD model, and the suppression factors over the standard VMD predictions follow a simple empirical systematics -∼10 for ψ, 1.5−2 for o and 1 for ϱ, ω couplings to photon.

TL;DR: In this paper, a dynamical scheme is proposed to resolve the problem of radiative transitions among the new particles within the quark-antiquark bound state picture, where the proton is not coupled to the free quarks but is taken to be dominated by the spectrum of mesons which enter the off-mass shell hadronic vertices.
