An analysis of the potential role of functional foods in the primary prevention of coronary heart disease
TL;DR: Results of a dietary trial in 25 patients found that a functional food-led intervention using plant sterol enriched margarine was an effective approach in the management of hypercholesterolemia, which has implications for CHD reduction given the importance of dietary LCn-3.
