Slip patterns made by sphere indentations on single crystal MnZn ferrite

TL;DR: In this paper, a Burgers vector is used to model the deformation of MnZn ferrite in a half-space loaded by a sphere, and the slip patterns are discussed for {100, {111} and {110} slip systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preferred orientation and microstructure of Ni-Zn-Cu ferrite thin films deposited by rf magnetron sputtering

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of process parameters such as rf power, substrate, and gas pressure PAr on preferred orientation, microstructure, and magnetic properties of Ni-Zn-Cu ferrite thin films deposited by conventional rf magnetron sputtering were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preferred orientation of silicate spinel inferred from experimentally deformed aggregates of trevorite

TL;DR: In this article, an X-ray pole figure goniometry is employed to describe the quantitative orientation distribution of spinel crystallites in uniaxially deformed aggregates, and the obtained inverse pole figures indicate that two types of preferred orientation have been produced during axial deformations both in compression and tension.
Journal ArticleDOI

Slip patterns in sliding sphere experiments on (110) single crystal Mn-Zn ferrite

TL;DR: In this article, a 0.25 mm radius ruby sphere on a (1 1 0) Mn-Zn ferrite crystal groove has been made at speeds from 0.4 to 400 μm sec−1, at loads from 1 to 7 N and after 1 to 100 passes.

The Elastic Behaviour of a Crystalline Aggregate

TL;DR: The connection between the elastic behavior of an aggregate and a single crystal is considered in this article, with special reference to the theories of Voigt, Reuss, and Huber and Schmid.

A variational approach to the theory of the elastic behaviour of multiphase materials

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived upper and lower bounds for the effective elastic moduli of quasi-isotropic and quasi-homogeneous multiphase materials of arbitrary phase geometry.

Young's and Shear Moduli, Hardness and Bending Strength of Polycrystalline Mn-Zn Ferrites

TL;DR: In this article, the bending strength of polycrystalline Mn-Zn ferrites with the composition (MnO 0.30-x(ZnO)0.50+x(0.00x0.04) and (mn Zn Fe)3O4+δ(-0.005δ0.02).

The application of modern single-pan analytical and microanalytical balances to measurements of the densities of solids

D Prokic
- 21 Sep 1974 -
TL;DR: In this article, a method for determining the density of solids, based on a well-known buoyancy formula and which uses analytical and microanalytical balances, is described, and the method is used to measure the buoyancy of the solids.
