TL;DR: The design of a simple low cost microcontroller based temperature monitoring system using GSM technique and ADC is used because microcontroller works with digital inputs.
Abstract: paper describes the design of a simple low cost microcontroller based temperature monitoring system using GSM technique. The temperature monitoring system using GSM undergoes three stages signal conditioning circuit, analog to digital converter and with GSM Modem the message is send to mobile.ADC is used because microcontroller works with digital inputs. GSM modem can be used to send and receive SMS through AT commands. At the transmitter side, the user sends an SMS to the GSM modem using AT commands. The LM35 is an integrated circuit sensor that can be used to measure temperature with electrical output proportional to the temperature. The LM35 sensor is connected to PIC microcontroller and varying temperature is sent to GSM modem, which is simultaneously displayed in LCD. The GSM modem performs the operation of sending message to a particular SIM number .GSM technology provides users with high quality signal and speech channels, giving them access to high quality digital communication at very affordable rates. GSM network operators can provide their customers with cheaper calling and text messing options.

TL;DR: The aim of this paper is to present a design that can automatically detect and stop gas leakage in vulnerable premises and provide the design approach on both software and hardware.
Abstract: Gas leakage is a major problem with industrial sector, residential premises and gas powered vehicles like CNG (compressed natural gas) buses, cars. One of the preventive methods to stop accident associated with the gas leakage is to install gas leakage detection kit at vulnerable places. The aim of this paper is to present such a design that can automatically detect and stop gas leakage in vulnerable premises. In particular gas sensor has been used which has high sensitivity for propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10). Gas leakage system consists of GSM (Global System for mobile communications) module, which warns by sending SMS. However, the former gas leakage system cannot react in time. This paper provides the design approach on both software and hardware.

TL;DR: The proposed microcontroller based automated digital meter model that performs the function of automated control system which controls the motor driver connected to the fan, based on the temperature sensed using the microcontroller is discussed in the paper.
Abstract: The objective of this paper is to design and implement the low cost digital meter using PIC microcontroller, which could be used for monitoring the temperature and humidity of our environment. In this paper, it is focused mainly for our homes. The temperature is measured using LM35 temperature sensor and the humidity is measured using DHT11 humidity sensor. The measured parameters are displayed through LCD screens, normally like a digital meter. Apart from acting as a meter, it performs the function of automated control system which controls the motor driver connected to the fan, based on the temperature sensed using the microcontroller. When the fire catches the home and the sensor values exceeds the limit, an alert SMS will be sent to the person living in the home through the SIM900 GSM module. Also, an SMS carrying the home address will be sent to the fire department which alerts the fire fighters to urge to the location so that they can protect the home from fire. This paper also proposes the idea of automatic humidity controller using dehumidifier controlled by the microcontroller through the relay module. Thus, the proposed microcontroller based automated digital meter model has been discussed in the paper.

TL;DR: A novel accurate method to calculate fuel levels of a vehicle and an emergency alert system in case of accidents is elaborated and designed and implemented using a Raspberry Pi - Arduino combination and is also highly cost effective.
Abstract: With the advancements in technology, several smart innovations are being introduced by automobile manufacturers across the world to enhance their product portfolio. These can vary from implementing simple solutions such as navigation systems, to more complex ones such as driver assistance systems, which in turn could monitor multiple parameters of the vehicle in order to assist the driver. This paper focuses on one such driver assistance solution which not only intimates the driver on the well-being of his or her car but also adds additional layers of security to prevent vehicular theft. Keeping in mind driver safety, the paper also proposes an idea to prevent the vehicle from starting in case of alcohol consumption by the driver and also incorporates an emergency alert system in case of accidents. A novel accurate method to calculate fuel levels of a vehicle has also been elaborated. This work has been designed and implemented using a Raspberry Pi - Arduino combination and is also highly cost effective.

TL;DR: The implementation of temperature monitoring system for large halls which helps in improving the condition of the surrounding temperature by monitoring the temperature readings using a specified portal using the BLYNK Application is described.
Abstract: This paper is to describe the implementation of temperature monitoring system for large halls which helps in improving the condition of the surrounding temperature by monitoring the temperature readings using a specified portal. This system includes multiple temperature sensing devices located in different temperature monitoring zones to produce temperature output readings proportional to the corresponding zones. The temperature monitoring system automatically and sequentially collects and records temperature output readings into the database. Besides that, a portal then displays the temperature readings generated by the temperature sensing devices proportional to the corresponding zones together with the technician details that are in-charged for those particular devices. In addition, the portal also displays colour status bars that differentiates the surrounding temperature whether its too hot, too cold or its at optimum state. Being said by that, if the temperature readings exceeds its threshold limits, alert notifications will be sent to the technician’s mobile phone through the BLYNK Application.

Abstract: The purpose of this project is to acquire the remote electrical parameters like Voltage, Current and Frequency and send these real time values over GSM network using GSM Modem/phone along with temperature at power station. This project is also designed to protect the electrical circuitry by operating an Electromagnetic Relay. This Relay gets activated whenever the electrical parameters exceed the predefined values. The Relay can be used to operate a Circuit Breaker to switch off the main electrical supply. User can send commands in the form of SMS messages to read the remote electrical parameters. This system also can automatically send the real time electrical parameters periodically (based on time settings) in the form of SMS. This system can be designed to send SMS alerts whenever the Circuit Breaker trips or whenever the Voltage or Current exceeds the predefined limits. This project makes use of an onboard computer which is commonly termed as microcontroller. This onboard computer can efficiently communicate with the different sensors being used. The controller is provided with some internal memory to hold the code. This memory is used to dump some set of assembly instructions into the controller. And the functioning of the controller is dependent on these assembly instructions. The controller is programmed using Embedded C language. Keyworld: GSM Modem, Initialization of ADC module of microcontroller, PIC-C compiler for Embedded C programming, PIC kit 2 programmer for dumping code into Micro controller, Express SCH for Circuit design, Proteus for hardware simulation.

TL;DR: A wireless, low-cost and use-friendly system which allows patients to measure their own vital signs, such as heart rate and temperature, and provide the health care professionals with the facility to remotely monitor the patient's vital signs quickly and easily.
Abstract: Homecare is the provision of health care services to patients in their own home. One of the main purposes of homecare telemedicine is to develop a wireless, low-cost and use-friendly system which allows patients to measure their own vital signs, such as heart rate and temperature, and provide the health care professionals with the facility to remotely monitor the patient's vital signs quickly and easily. The gadget would then activate a GSM modem (SIM based) and also a GPS (global positioning system). The gadget would then take out the location reading from the GPS. Other vital information such as Heart Rate and temperature is taken and sent to predefined numbers. The receiver will get an SMS which will contain information of the senior person with his/her position co-ordinates and his/her current status (Heart Rate). An onscreen display will start scrolling the person's name, address and contact details so that people who try to help such a person get the complete information from the device.
