TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the influence of remote education on higher education in private higher education institutions of an educational group in Brazil in times of social distance, and concluded that the studied institutions had less impacts in the process of changing from on-site to remote education, in the view of the respondent students and teachers.
Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of remote education on higher education in Private Higher Education Institutions of an Educational Group in Brazil in times of social distance. Methodologically, the aforementioned research focused on a quantitative approach. The collection instrument was a closed questionnaire sent to teachers and students from Private Higher Education Institutions of an Educational Group in Brazil located in Piaui. Despite the impacts of the pandemic, which caused social isolation, the results show that the HEIs linked to the educational group object of the study, had no interruption of classes, which occurred remotely. The main results show that the respondent institutions have technological tools that facilitate the development of remote classes, use active methodologies and the teachers because they are familiar with the distance learning modality did not have many difficulties in migrating to the remote system, and many of the respondents felt challenged to participate in remote teaching activities. It was concluded that the studied institutions had less impacts in the process of changing from on-site to remote education, in the view of the respondent students and teachers.

TL;DR: In this paper, a pesquisa of enfermeiros docentes was conducted to evaluate the efeitos do ensino remoto decorrente da pandemia de Covid-19 na their vida, and a coleta de dados ocorreu mediante entrevistas individuais, guiadas by um roteiro semiestruturado.

TL;DR: In this article, the main changes that took place in the daily lives of students in the health area during the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil are related to lower productivity; difficulty concentrating; increased hours of sleep, use of electro-electronic equipment and weight; poorer quality of food; higher consumption of food, legal and illegal substances and medications (mainly analgesics, anxiolytics and antidepressants); less interest in personal appearance; and greater contact with relatives.
Abstract: OBJECTIVES: To determine the main changes that took place in the daily lives of students in the health area during the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil. METHODS: This is a cross-sectional study, carried out from May to June 2020, with 1786 students over 18 years old, regularly enrolled in health courses at higher education institutions in five regions of Brazil. Sampling was by convenience, typified as snowball. In order to collect data, an instrument to describe the sociodemographic profile and the daily lives of students during the pandemic period was used, which was applied via a digital platform on the web. RESULTS: The main changes that took place in the daily lives of academic students in the health area in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil are related to lower productivity; difficulty concentrating; increased hours of sleep, use of electro-electronic equipment and weight; poorer quality of food; higher consumption of food, legal and illegal substances and medications (mainly analgesics, anxiolytics and antidepressants); less interest in personal appearance; and greater contact with relatives. Regarding emotional changes, it should be underlined the complaints of anxiety, stress, anguish, confusion, helplessness and depression. CONCLUSIONS: During the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil, the students in the health area experienced several changes in their daily lives, which deserve special attention from higher education institutions and health systems, envisioning interventions to minimize health risks to this population.

TL;DR: It is argued that effective online instruction is dependent upon 1) well-designed course content, motivated interaction between the instructor and learners, well-prepared and fully-supported instructors; 2) creation of a sense of online learning community; 3) rapid advancement of technology.
Abstract: Using a qualitative content analysis approach, this study reviewed 47 published studies and research on online teaching and learning since 2008, primarily focusing on how theories, practices and assessments apply to the online learning environment. The purpose of this paper is to provide practical suggestions for those who are planning to develop online courses so that they can make informed decisions in the implementation process. Based on the findings, the authors argued that effective online instruction is dependent upon 1) well-designed course content, motivated interaction between the instructor and learners, well-prepared and fully-supported instructors; 2) creation of a sense of online learning community; and 3) rapid advancement of technology. In doing this, it is hoped that this will stimulate an on-going discussion of effective strategies that can enhance universities and faculty success in transitioning to teach online. Under current debates on the cost and quality of higher education, this study could help for the improvement of higher education and student enrollment and retention.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a guidance on the Organization and Management of Online Teaching in the Higher Education Institutions during Epidemic Prevention and Control Period (Ministry of Education 2020) to provide flexible online learning to over 270 million students.
Abstract: Chinese government has imposed strict measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. Most face-to-face activities, including teaching, have been banned. Chinese universities and colleges have postponed the beginning of spring semester. Students are not allowed to return to campuses without approval. To provide flexible online learning to over 270 million students, Ministry of Education has launched an initiative entitled ‘Disrupted classes, undisrupted learning’. On February 5, 2020, the initiative was followed up by ‘Guidance on the Organization and Management of Online Teaching in the Higher Education Institutions During Epidemic Prevention and Control Period’ (Ministry of Education 2020). The Guidance requires national and local governments to encourage colleges and universities, together with the rest of the society, to participate in joint implementation of online education. Ministry of Education further requires that new online courses are of the Postdigital Science and Education https://doi.org/10.1007/s42438-020-00126-3

TL;DR: The learning-teaching process is a name that is given to a complex system of behavioral interactions between teachers and pupils, which are referred to as "teaching" and "learning" as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The learning-teaching process is a name that is given to a complex system of behavioural interactions between teachers and pupils. Apart from just “teaching” and “learning”, as if these were processes independent of human activities, there are also behavioural processes that are referred to as “teaching” and “learning”. They are processes c omprised of behaviours that are complex and difficult to perceive, principally due to their being comprised of multiple interacting components. The very behaviours themselves are subject to perception and scientific definition based on the identification of their components and the interactions they establish between themselves and which are given the names of “teaching” and “learning”. The interdependence of the two concepts is fundamental in order to understand what happens under each of these names. The perception and understanding of them is crucial for the development of any learning, education or teaching activity. How can these components be identified? How can the relationships between them be characterised? How can the “teaching-learning” process be seen? This article presents an examination of this process, in the light of the concepts arising from the Analysis of Behaviour, locating its possible contributions to the development of Education in relation to experiences of great value which originated and have been developed in Brazil, almost unknown to the majority of those that comprise them and to many Who work in Education. Keywords: Scheduled teaching. Teaching-learning. Analysis of the behaviour of “teaching”. Personalised teaching .
