An optical fiber demultiplexer comprises first (325b) and second (325c) ports located in the focal plane of a first spherical reflective surface (313) such that light at one port is focused on the other. A second spherical reflective surface (315) which is dichroic is located between the ports and the first spherical surface and has a focal plane common with that of the first spherical surface.
