Modélisation non-linéaire en trois dimensions de l'interaction sol-micropieux-pont sous chargements sismiques

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an analysis approfondie de differentes interactions between sol-micropieux-structure sous chargements sismiques, in particular the influence of nonlinearite of sol and the glissement of l'interface solmicropieu sur the reponse sismique of a system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Geotechnical Characterisation and Finite Element Analysis of Two Landslides along the National Highway 1-A (Ladakh Region, Jammu and Kashmir)

TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed geotechnical investigation of soil samples from these landslides have been carried out to determine inherent cause of instability further finite element analysis (FEA) for the landslides was performed to determine the strength reduction factor of the slope material for finding the critical slope failure point and total displacements Results indicate the FOS of 195 for Dambu slide and 047 for Saraks slide respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

DEM analysis of the effect of granular crushing on the bearing capacity of footings

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of particle crushing on the bearing capacity of a simulated dense granular material was investigated and a comparison with the theoretical bearing capacity was presented. But, even though the two simulations considered the same idealized material, crushing was allowed only in one simulation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Shear modulus from SPT N-values with different energy values

TL;DR: In this paper, a modified correlation between measured N-value and G m a x is improved to account for in-situ applied hammer energy (EH) measurement, and the correction factors to adjust hammer energy ratios (ER) are suggested.

The behaviour of laterally loaded two-pile groups

TL;DR: In this article, a series of tests on vertical single piles and two-pile groups at various spacing and pile cap overhang heights were conducted to identify the lateral stiffness, bending moment and axial force distribution.
