TL;DR: In this paper, a literature research was performed about using artificial neural networks in prediction of clothing comfort, and the results showed that these methods have some limitations in using them and one of the most common problems encountered in statistical modelling is non-linear relationship between clothing comfort and the parameters of fabrics.
Abstract: Son yillarda tuketicilerin tekstil urunlerinden beklentilerinin artmasi ve giysi tercihlerinde konforun on siralarda yer almaya baslamasiyla birlikte arastirmacilar ile tekstil ve hazir giyim ureticileri daha konforlu giysi sistemlerinin gelistirilmesi konusuna yogunlasmislardir. Yapay sinir aglari sistemleri ise bu gelismelere katkida bulunmaya calisan arastirma teknikleri arasinda yer almaktadir. Literaturde, cesitli kumas parametreleri ile giyim konforu arasindaki iliskiyi analiz etmek amaciyla istatistiksel yontemler kullanilarak bircok arastirma yapilmistir. Ancak kullanilan istatistiksel yontemlerde bazi kisitlamalar bulunmaktadir. Istatistiksel modellemede karsilasilan en yaygin problemlerden birisi giyim konforunu etkileyen farkli parametrelerin giyim konforu ile dogrusal olmayan iliskisidir. Yapay sinir aglari sistemleri butun parametrelerin ortaklasa etkisini goz onunde bulundurarak tahminleme yapmaya calisan yontemlerden bir tanesi olarak bilinmektedir. Bu calisma kapsaminda giyim konforunun tahminlenmesinde yapay sinir aglari sistemlerinin kullanimina yonelik bir literatur arastirmasi yapilmistir.. In recent years, with the increasing of consumers' expectations from textile products, researchers and producers of textile and apparel sectors focused on development of comfortable clothing systems. Artificial neural networks systems are research techniques that are trying to contribute to these developments. There are a lot of researches in literature about analysing relationship between clothing comfort and parameters of fabrics using statistical methods. On the other hand, there are some limitations in using them. One of the most common problems encountered in statistical modelling is non-linear relationship between clothing comfort and the parameters of fabrics. Artificial neural networks systems are known trying to make prediction considering all the impact of the parameters together. In this study, a literature research was performed about using artificial neural networks in prediction of clothing comfort.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used artificial neural networks to evaluate the properties of single and double layer woven fabrics that affect the end user's needs depending on the yarn count and the weaving type.
Abstract: The aim of this study is to reach closer results to the actual measurements by using artificial neural networks in evaluating the properties of single and double layer woven fabrics that affect the end user. The variation of the most important parameters such as breaking strength, weight, thickness, tearing strength properties to meet the end user's needs depending on the yarn count and the weaving type was investigated. In the fabrics produced in this study, cotton yarn was used as weft yarn in three different numbers and 90 denier polyester yarns were used as warp yarn. Plain, twill, panama, warp rips and satin were used as weaving type. Fabrics were weaved in three different weft frequencies. Evaluations using artificial neural networks were found to give closer results to the actual measurements.

TL;DR: In this article, the thermal properties of different knitted fabric structures made from cotton, regenerated bamboo and cotton-bamboo blended yarns were investigated. And it was found that the thermal conductivity of knitted fabrics generally reduces as the proportion of bamboo fibre increases.

TL;DR: In this paper, a mathematical model was developed to describe the dynamic heat and moisture transport behavior of clothing and its interaction with the human thermoregulation system under transient wear conditions.
Abstract: A mathematical model has been developed to describe the dynamic heat and moisture transport behavior of clothing and its interaction with the human thermoregulation system under transient wear conditions. A modification of Gagge's two-node model is used to simulate the human physiological regulatory responses. In clothing, heat and moisture transport is coupled with the sorption or desorption of water vapor in the fibers and the associated energy changes. If the physical activity and ambient conditions are specified, the model can predict the thermoregulatory responses of the body, to gether with the temperature and moisture profiles of the clothing. Experimental mea surements with garments made from fibers with different levels of hygroscopicity are compared with predictions by the model. There is good agreement between prediction and experiment for skin and fabric temperatures and the relative humidity of the cloth ing microclimate.
