Global industrial process monitoring through IoT using Raspberry pi

Abstract: Objectives: With the fast increment in the quality of client of the internet over the previous decade has made the internet as a feature of the life and IoT is the most recent and developing innovation. Internet of Things (IoT) is developing systems of ordinary item from customer merchandise to mechanical machine that can share data and complete and while you are occupied with different exercises. This system is planned minimal effort and expandable permitting a variety of device to be monitored. In this project only sensors has been monitored for better result they has to be controlled wirelessly through IoT. Methods/Statistical analysis: All the sensors that are connected to the Atmega are sensing the values at different conditions and displaying the values in LCD as well as the values are stored in the cloud. Whenever there is a change in the measured parameter that changed values are being updated. This ensures the correctness of the system at every instant of time the values are automatically updated in the cloud. Findings: Global industrial process monitoring through IoT is a system that uses computer or mobile devices to monitor functions in industry. It is intended to spare electric force and human vitality. The sensors that can be checked are temperature, light intensity, water level, current and voltage. These sensors are associated with Atmega and interface with Raspberry pi and observed qualities are put away in cloud. The modern procedure monitoring system varied from other system by permitting the client to work the system from any place around the globe through internet association. The system will consequently change on the base of the sensors information. Application: Engineers and scientists around the world use embedded systems to prototype and diagnostics, monitoring, and control applications within a variety of demanding industry environments. Rugged and modular hardware provides the flexibility to meet your specific embedded system application needs today and in the future.

Abstract: Since introduction of the Raspberry Pi embedded computers to the market, its popularity is constantly growing. More and more both hardware and software modules are available for that device. One of the later ones is CODESYS development environment, which make it possible to program Raspberry Pi like a regular Programmable Logic Controllers PLC. Using its network interfaces and industrial protocols like Ethercat or Profinet available in CODESYS, too, one could consider using Raspberry as a node in Networked Control System. Posts and opinions shared on Internet forums proofs it. However, one thing should not be ignored – Raspberry has been never intended to be implemented in industrial environment and was not designed as a real-time device. Therefore before practical application of Raspberry Pi, its temporal characteristics should be analyzed. It is the main concern in the following chapter.

Abstract: This article discusses the development of a cylindrical object detection system that assists an industrial robotic arm using accessible technologies, for example, the embedded Raspberry Pi system, the PiCamera module and OpenCV, an open source library for development of Computer Vision System and Digital Image Processing. Distortions inherent in the digital camera lens were corrected and the homography between the robot plane and the image plane was established by applying the Direct Linear Transform (DLT) method. Experimental results indicate that a robot manipulator equipped with the proposed detection system has a maximum error in x coordinate of 2.187 mm and in y of 2.65 mm that allows the automatic capture of the target pieces.

Abstract: The project proposes an efficient implementation for IoT (Internet of Things) used for monitoring and controlling the home appliances via World Wide Web. Home automation system uses the portable devices as a user interface. They can communicate with home automation network through an Internet gateway, by means of low power communication protocols like Zigbee, Wi-Fi etc. This project aims at controlling home appliances via Smartphone using Wi-Fi as communication protocol and raspberry pi as server system. The user here will move directly with the system through a web-based interface over the web, whereas home appliances like lights, fan and door lock are remotely controlled through easy website. An extra feature that enhances the facet of protection from fireplace accidents is its capability of sleuthing the smoke in order that within the event of any fireplace, associates an alerting message and an image is sent to Smartphone. The server will be interfaced with relay hardware circuits that control the appliances running at home. The communication with server allows the user to select the appropriate device. The communication with server permits the user to pick out the acceptable device. The server communicates with the corresponding relays. If the web affiliation is down or the server isn't up, the embedded system board still will manage and operate the appliances domestically. By this we provide a climbable and price effective Home Automation system.

Abstract: In the present age Internet of things (IOT) has enterned a golden era of rapid growth. The Internet of things is a concept that aims to extend the benefits of the regular Internet—constant connectivity, remote control ability, data sharing, and so on—to goods in the physical world. Everyday things are getting connected with the internet. This concept can be used tomanage the security concerned issues in a cost effective way. In ths paper work a system is being developed to connect any door with the internet, so that the access control system can be controlled from any where in the world. In a case that one is not at home and a vistor is at his door steps then the authorized person will be notified about the visitor via twitter and the person can see the visitor from the web through the camera from any where and the system will take a picture of the visitor and keep a record by sending an attachment through E-mail or tweet in twitter. If the authorized person wants to give a message the visitor it can be sent easily through the internet and it will appear in a screen on the front face of the door. The door lock can be controlled through the internet. With the help of this system an evidence of the visitor can be kept as a record if any emergency case or situtaion occurs.

Abstract: In the present world, there are many high tech appliances in our homes that make our lives easier. It is necessary to control these appliances remotely. To automate a machine, a secondary brain (another machine) is required to ‘Think’ and control machines to do tasks as per the convenience of the user from long distances. An automation system is proposed for the users to control home electronic appliances with high mobility and security. A set of switches will be controlled by internet with the use of a Raspberry pi micro-controller board. A Raspberry pi micro-controller board obtains user input from a website that is accessed through a user name and password. The customized user friendly website has several buttons to control the appliances. A Raspberry pi will be located in a room and will be connected to all electronic appliances in the home with the help of electromagnetic relays. The Raspberry pi can be controlled from any distant place with the help of weaved cloud service. Webiopi framework gives us a platform to interact with Raspberry pi's General Purpose Input Output pins. The Raspberry pi then either passes or stops current through an electromagnetic relay connected to the intended switch and this closes/opens the circuit allowing the appliance to run or get switched off. Thus globally accessible automation of electronic appliances can be made possible with the use of a Raspberry Pi micro-controller board, an internet connection and relay switches in a user friendly way.

Abstract: Automated home or home automation or smart home can be described as a product to provide ease of doing homework One of the simplest task is turning on or off light or any other electrical equipment at home remotely and or automatically There are issues on building a house that could efficiently use electricity in a comfort way Current development of technology enable production of cheaper and smaller size of computer Raspberry known as a Single Board Computer (SBC) proposed in this paper to achieve those goal Current development shows that home automation could be managed by the means of website or smartphone application such android or IOS application which required resident to access computer or smartphone This paper proposed better seamless communication between automated home and it's resident To achieve that goal, this paper proposed voice command function to control any electrical device while still keeping web based application to control detailed instruction or configuration Raspberry equipped with microphone, relay and internet access will deployed a house that will have function of monitoring the state of electronic devices, scheduling, and web remote control In addition, electrical devices could also be controlled using voice commands to provide its resident a new experience in controlling their house Cloud-based API, Wolfram Alpha, will be deployed to record voice command sound which in turn convert it into text to be processed by Raspberry Pi Therefore, for the system to work, it is compulsory to be connected to the Internet
