Sensory innervation in porous endplates by Netrin-1 from osteoclasts mediates PGE2-induced spinal hypersensitivity in mice.

TL;DR: It is shown that osteoclasts create porous area of endplates of the vertebrae and sensory innervation of porous endplates by Netrin-1 release from osteoclast mediates PGE2-induced spinal hypersensitivity in mice, suggesting that osteoclast-initiated porosity of endplate and sensory Innervation are potential therapeutic targets for spinal pain.

Inflammasome: A Double-Edged Sword in Liver Diseases.

TL;DR: In this review, the latest advances on the physiological and pathological roles of inflammasomes for further development ofinflammasome-based therapeutic strategies for human liver diseases are summarized.

Multi-omics Analyses Reveal Synergistic Carbohydrate Metabolism in Streptococcus mutans-Candida albicans Mixed-Species Biofilms.

TL;DR: An active fungal role in the sugar metabolism and environmental acidification (key virulence traits associated with caries onset) when interacting with S. mutans is indicated in the mixed biofilm, demonstrating that comprehensive transcriptomics and quantitative proteomics can be powerful tools to study microbial contributions which remain underexplored in cross-kingdom biofilms.

Brain oscillation-synchronized stimulation of the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex in depression using real-time EEG-triggered TMS.

TL;DR: Alpha-synchronized rTMS of left DLPFC is feasible, safe and has specific single-session neuromodulatory effects in patients with antidepressant-resistant MDD.

The All-on-4 treatment concept for the rehabilitation of the completely edentulous mandible: A longitudinal study with 10 to 18 years of follow-up.

TL;DR: Considering the implant, prosthetic and MBL outcomes it is concluded that the All-on-4 is a viable treatment option validated in the long term, Nevertheless, biological and mechanical complications can occur.

TL;DR: The Global Burden of Disease, Injuries, and Risk Factor study 2013 (GBD 2013) as discussed by the authors provides a timely opportunity to update the comparative risk assessment with new data for exposure, relative risks, and evidence on the appropriate counterfactual risk distribution.

TL;DR: Non-communicable diseases comprised the greatest fraction of deaths, contributing to 73·4% (95% uncertainty interval [UI] 72·5–74·1) of total deaths in 2017, while communicable, maternal, neonatal, and nutritional causes accounted for 18·6% (17·9–19·6), and injuries 8·0% (7·7–8·2).
