Anti-inflammatory and anti-nociceptive activities of Fumaria indica whole plant extract in experimental animals
TL;DR: Oral administration of F. indica dry extract exhibited dose dependent and significant anti-inflammatory activity in acute (carrageenean and histamine induced hind paw oedema) and chronic cotton pellet granuloma models of inflammation, p < 0.01).
Journal ArticleDOI
Broncho-vasodilatory activity of fractions and pure constituents isolated from Bacopa monniera.
TL;DR: Overall bioassay-directed fractionation of B. monniera improved the bronchodilatory activity in various fractions and compound 1 in anaesthetized rats, concluding that various fractions derived from B.monniera possess broncho-vasodilatories activity, which is attributed mainly to inhibition of calcium ions.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro inhibition of carcinogen-induced mutagenicity by Cassia occidentalis and Emblica officinalis.
TL;DR: Although both plants inhibited mutagenicity, E. officinalis had more inhibitory effect than C. occidentalis, suggesting that these plants have potent antimutagenic and anticarcinogenic activities against mutagens requiring metabolic activation.
Journal ArticleDOI
TLC Assay of Thymoquinone in Black Seed Oil (Nigella Sativa Linn) and Identification of Dithymoquinone and Thymol
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple quantitative TLC method for the determination of thymoquinone in commercially available black seed oil obtained from Nigella Sativa L. (Ranunculaceae) using a scanning densitometer is described.
A review on phytochemical and pharmacological potential of areca catechu l. seed
TL;DR: In the present article, usefulness of arecanut as an herbal drug and its therapeutics application prospects are described.
