TL;DR: The antidiabetic potentials of methanol extract (ME) of aerial parts of Phyllanthus niruri L (Euphorbiaceae) was evaluated in normal and alloxan diabetic rats.
Abstract: The antidiabetic potentials of methanol extract (ME) of aerial parts of Phyllanthus niruri L (Euphorbiaceae) was evaluated in normal and alloxan diabetic rats. The results showed that ME significantly (P<0.05) reduced fasting blood sugar in a dose-related manner and suppressed the postprandial rise in blood glucose after a heavy glucose meal in normoglycaemic rats. Chronic oral administration of ME caused a significant (P<0.05) dose-related reduction in blood glucose levels as well as total cholesterol and triglycerides levels in diabetic and normoglycaemic rats. Sub-chronic toxicity study showed that ME-treated rats had significant (P<0.05) reductions in haemoglobin (Hb) levels, red blood cell (RBC) and white blood cell (WBC) counts followed by a gradual rise which did not, however, attain basal levels; however, there was a progressive rise in the WBC of ME-treated diabetic rats. Also ME-treated and control rats had increases in weight throughout the study. Histological studies showed that ME-treated diabetic rats had the tissue architecture of their pancreas restored as against the control groups where there was evidence of necrosis. The acute toxicity and lethality test of ME in mice gave an oral LD50 of 471.2 mg/kg. Results suggest that extract of aerial parts of P. niruri has great potentials as anti-diabetic remedy.

TL;DR: A bio-synthetic green route to the synthesis of Platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs) with extract of Xanthium strumarium leaf is described in this article.
Abstract: A bio-synthetic green route to the synthesis of Platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs) with extract of Xanthium strumarium Leaf is described. The synthetic procedure is very simple and one step without using of capping and reducing agent. The synthesized nanoparticles were extensively characterized by UV Visible spectroscopy, FT-IR, PXRD, SEM-EDAX and TEM analysis. The size, shape and purity were well analyzed. TEM analysis showed the formation of nanoparticles in the average size of 22 nm and parallal lines are present in the partilces which should be from perfect crystal lattice. SEM analysis clearly showed the formed nanoparticles are in the cubic to rectangular shape and smooth surface. The nanoparticles also showed potent cytotoxic effect against HeLa cancer cell lines with an IC50 value of 90 μg/ml/24 h by the MTT assay and other biological profile such as In vitro antibacterial activity and In vitro antifungal activity were also investigated and shows the significance activity.

TL;DR: A review of the pharmacological activities of some of the flavonolignans including author's research work in this area can be found in this article, where a wide scope of integrating the pharmaceutical industries especially those based on natural products, with the fuel and energy industries dealing with the production of petroleum hydrocarbons, biodiesel, lubricating oils, alcohols, glucose and glucose based value added chemicals and materials, xylose and xyloses based value-added materials, lignin based aromatic and heterocyclic chemicals etc.
Abstract: Flavonoids possess antioxidant, radical scavenger, antileukemic and vasodilator activity. These may be useful for improving blood circulation in brain and in Alzheimer disease. Flavonoids also show anti-cancer, anti-ageing and antibacterial properties. Flavonolignans are a class of compounds where the properties of flavones and lignans may synergise. The review presents the pharmacological activities of some of the flavonolignans including author’s research work in this area. There may be a wide scope of integrating the pharmaceutical industries especially those based on natural products, with the fuel and energy industries dealing with the production of petroleum hydrocarbons, biodiesel, lubricating oils, alcohols, glucose and glucose based value added chemicals and materials, xylose and xylose based value added chemicals and materials, lignin based aromatic and heterocyclic chemicals etc.

TL;DR: Research of contemporary and traditional medical literature indicates that Emblica Officinalis either in combination with other herbs or alone has been useful in the amelioration ofolds, warts, skin afflictions, influenza, anemia, diabetes, lung conditions, elevatedcholesterol and as an immune restorative in cancer conditions.
Abstract: Emblica Officinalis is a natural, efficacious, an antioxidant with the richest natural source of Vitamin C. Emblica Officinalis berries have the highest amount of naturally occurring vitamin C of any ripe fruit inthe world used as a traditional food. Numerous studies conducted on Emblica Officinalis fruit suggestthat it has anti-viral properties and also functions as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungalagent. The gelatinous plum-sized Amla fruit contains naturally occurring vitamin, heatstablevitamin C. A clinical study on patients with pulmonary tuberculosis showed thatthe vitamin C contained in Emblica Officinalis was better assimilated than synthetic vitamin C. Further research of contemporary and traditional medical literature indicates that Emblica Officinalis either in combination with other herbs or alone has been useful in the amelioration ofcolds, warts, skin afflictions, influenza, anemia, diabetes, lung conditions, elevatedcholesterol and as an immune restorative in cancer conditions. It is one of the best natural anti-ageing remedies Emblica Officinalis is used in treatment of Acne and other skin problems. Emblica Officinalis is amazingly effective natural anti-ageing product. Emblica Officinalis is very effective in treatment of Acidity and Peptic ulcers. Emblica Officinalis is rich in Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, essential amino acids and many other vitamins and minerals and anti-oxidants.Regular Use of Emblica Officinalis improves immunity, fights cancers, rejuvenates the body.It fights chronic diseases like hypertension, high Cholesterol, Diabetes, AIDS, influenza, Chronic cough and cold, Chronic infections, Chronic fatigue and Chronic inflammatory conditions. Ayurveda describes it as one of the best herbs for Diabetes, bleeding disorders, strength and stamina promoter.
