Selected Predictors of Responsible Environmental Behavior: An Analysis
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the relative contribution of eight variables in predicting responsible environmental behavior and found that seven of the variables were statistically significant, including the level of environmental sensitivity, perceived knowledge of environmental action strategies, perceived skill in using environmental actions, psychological sex role classification, individual locus of control and attitude toward pollution.

How recreation involvement, place attachment and conservation commitment affect environmentally responsible behavior
TL;DR: In this article, a behavioral model using latent variables of place attachment, recreation involvement, conservation commitment and environmentally responsible behavior among tourists visiting wetlands was examined, and the behavioral model revealed that conservation commitment simultaneously mediates the relationships between place attachment and environmentally-responsible behavior and between recreation involvement and environmentally conscientious behavior.
