The title complex, [Cr(H2O)6][Na(C10H8O6)2(H2O)3]·5H2O (C10H8O6 = benzene-1,3-dioxyacetate), consists of [Na(C10H8O6)2(H2O)3]3− trianions, [Cr(H2O)6]3+ trications and five uncoordinated water molecules. The Cr cation has six-coordinate slightly distorted octahedral geometry, whereas the Na-ion coordination is distorted trigonal prismatic. The cations, anions and water molecules are linked by O—H⋯O intermolecular hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.read more

Self-assembly and structures of new lanthanide coordination polymers with 1,3-phenylenebis(oxy)diacetic acid
TL;DR: In this article, seven coordination polymers were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, single crystal X-ray crystallography, UV and powder Xray diffraction analysis (PXRD), and structural analysis reveals that 1-5 are isostructural and exhibit 3D frameworks with a (32.42.52)2(38.614) topology.
