Silicon Oxycarbide-Graphite Electrodes for High-Power Energy Storage Devices.

TL;DR: Electrochemical measurements revealed enhanced capacity at high current rates recorded for SiOC/graphite composite compared to the pure components, and the addition of graphite to the SiOC matrix decreased the value of delithiation potential, which is a desirable feature for anodes in LIC.

Spontaneous high-concentration dispersions and liquid crystals of graphene

TL;DR: It is shown that graphite spontaneously exfoliates into single-layer graphene in chlorosulphonic acid, and dissolves at isotropic concentrations as high as approximately 2 mg ml(-1), which is an order of magnitude higher than previously reported values.
