Abstract: PURPOSE:To classify and display developers in use by colors clearly by forming part of a unit provided attachably and detachably to and from a main body device as part of the outer package of the main device CONSTITUTION:The main body 4 of the image forming device includes a developing device unit 6 attachably and detachably to and from its front side and a notch which is in the same shape with and a little bit larger than the unit outer package cover 6a of the developing device unit 6 is formed in the front cover 5 of the main body 4, so that the developing device unit 6 is replaced independently without opening the front cover 5 Further, while the developing device unit 6 is loaded in the main body 4, the unit other package cover 6a forms part of the front cover 5 The unit outer package cover 6a is displayed in the same color with the toner of the developer charged in the developing device unit 6

Abstract: An electric power-steering device has a speed-reducing mechanism (17) for reducing the speed of an output shaft (16) of an electric motor (15). The speed-reducing mechanism (17) has an internal gear (39) engaged and rotated with the output shaft (16) and an external gear (40) with which the internal gear (39) internally meshes. A drive pulley (41) rotatable together with the external gear (40) and a driven pulley (42) provided so as to surround a steering shaft are connected by an endless belt (43). Speed reduction is obtained by the internal gear (39) and the external gear (40), and the speed-reducing mechanism (17) as a whole achieves a high reduction ratio without greatly reducing the diameter of the drive pulley (41).

Abstract: A plasma processing apparatus wherein a layer structure consisting of plural layers formed in stack one upon another on a semiconductor wafer placed on the sample holder located in the process chamber, is etched with plasma generated in the process chamber by supplying high frequency power to the electrode disposed in the sample holder, the apparatus comprising a ring-shaped electrode disposed above the electrode and around the periphery of the top portion of the sample holder, an outer circumferential ring of dielectric material disposed above the ring-shaped electrode and opposite to the plasma, and a power source for supplying power at different values to the ring-shaped electrode depending on the sorts of layers of the layer structure.

Abstract: When multilevel printing is performed by using a plurality of types of inks, which present different densities for similar colors when used for printing, and changing the types of inks and the numbers of ink droplets in printing each pixel, an ink distribution table which defines a combination of the types of inks and the numbers of ink droplets in correspondence with each gray level value is generated on the basis of input information associated with the relative densities of the respective inks. A combination to be used to print each pixel is selected on the basis of the ink distribution table, thereby printing a good grayscale image free from gray-level reversal and the like.

Abstract: The present invention is characterized in that: a demanded printing-job is accepted at a printing-job accepting unit, and a printing executing unit executes printing according to the accepted printing-job so as to produce an output sheet onto a discharge tray; an output-sheet detecting unit detects the presence of a printed output-sheet on the discharge tray; if the removal of discharged sheets from the discharge tray is detected, a printed-sheet mixture determining unit determines the possibility that sheets printed corresponding to a plurality of demands are mixed among the removed output-sheets; and if it is determined the possibility that sheets printed corresponding to a plurality of the demands are mixed among the output-sheets, warning information is produced by a warning voice producing unit.

Abstract: An image-forming device has a plurality of cylindrical image-carrying members, and an optical scanning unit. The plurality of cylindrical image-carrying members is provided in a main casing for rotating about respective rotational axes. The rotational axes are parallel to one another and juxtaposed in a single direction. The optical scanning unit is provided in the main casing and has a plurality of laser generators, a single rotatable polygon mirror, a plurality of mirrors, and a plurality of lenses. The plurality of laser generators is provided one-to-one relationship to the plurality of image-carrying members to emit respective laser beams. The single rotatable polygon mirror deflects the respective laser beams to scan the respective image-carrying members therewith. The plurality of mirrors is provided one-to-one relationship to the plurality of image-carrying members to guide the respective laser beams along respective optical paths to the respective image-carrying members. The plurality of lenses is provided one-to-one relationship to the plurality of image-carrying members and provided in the respective optical paths and between the respective mirrors and the respective image-carrying members. Distances from the respective mirrors to the respective image-carrying members being equal to one another.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a member of the moving valve mechanism of an internal combustion engine with superior wear resistance by forming the contact surface of a rocker arm or a valve lifter contacting slidably with a cam with a sintered Fe alloy contg. Cr, Mo, W, V, C and P and/or B. CONSTITUTION:The contact surface of a rocker arm 1 or a valve lifter 3 requiring high wear resistance for slidable contact with a cam 2 among the constituent members of the moving valve mechanism of an internal combustion engine is formed with a sintered Fe alloy having a composition consisting of 2-7% Cr, 0.1-1.5% Mo, 0.5-7% W, 0.1-3% V, 0.5-3% C, 0.1-2% P and/or B and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. The use of this alloy reduces remarkably the wear of each of the cam and an opposite member contacting slidably with the cam and the total wear of them, so the life of the moving valve mechanism can be elongated.
