Abstract: The article discusses the problems arising from the modernization of active phased antenna arrays (for example, an increase in the number of transceiver active elements, a decrease in the weight and size of the antenna system, etc.). It has been substantiated that the most rational solution of these problems is the use of fiber-optical communication systems for transmitting heterodyne signals. A new design of the transmit-receive module with a fiber-optic transmission system for an active phased antenna array has been developed. The results of experimental investigations are presented.

Abstract: The design of a magnetic trap for low mass-dimensional microwave frequency standards is presented. The dependencies of the number of photons registered by PMT on magnetic field values are established. The new algorithm for optical processing has been developed. The comparison of experimental Allan deviation for different designs of microwave frequency standards on 199Hg+ ions has been performed.

Abstract: A new configuration of the frequency synthesizer for the quantum frequency standard (QFS) on the 133Cs atoms is considered. Significant advantages of the proposed configuration in comparison with the conventional configuration are demonstrated. The frequency interval of the synthesizer is expanded and the step of frequency tuning is decreased. Spectral characteristics of the output signal of the frequency synthesizer are improved, and the frequency tuning to the neighboring resonance of the spectral line provides tuning of the QFS middle field. The metrological characteristics of the QFS with the proposed frequency standard are improved.

Abstract: One of the essential elements of satellite communication system is an atomic clock. The proper operation of this system depends on the performance of atomic clock. In this paper one of the directions of modernization of the rubidium atomic clocks is considered. A new design of the frequency synthesis circuitry is presented. The new design of frequency synthesizer is based on method of direct digital synthesis. Theoretical calculations and experimental research showed a decrease in the step frequency tuning by several orders and significant improvement in the spectral characteristics of the output signal of frequency converter. A range of generated output frequencies is expanded. A summary of performance results of rubidium atomic clock, in particularly Allan variance, achieved to date is also provided.

Abstract: We demonstrate a new approach to designing a compact RF standard based on the transfer of frequency stability of hyperfine transitions in molecular iodine to the stability of a laser cavity length. We use frequency doubled Nd:YVO4 laser operating in Kerr lens mode-locked regime and frequency lock it to hyperfine transitions in molecular iodine with further detecting the beat note signal between longitudinal modes on a fast photodiode. A similar system is used for estimating the standard Allan deviation of RF signal which is 2.1 x 10-14 at the time 100 s.
