Journal ArticleDOI
Coordination compounds of copper, nickel and iron with Schiff bases derived from hydroxynaphthaldehydes and salicylaldehydes
TL;DR: In this paper, a review describes Schiff bases of potential biological interest; for example, nickel compounds have been used in jack beam urease and in some hydrogenases, and the use of these compounds in catalytic reactions has also been considered.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recent aspects of the stereochemistry of schiff-base-metal complexes
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Magnetic Properties of a Ferrimagnetic Layered Compound [NEt4][Mn(5-Cl-salen)]2[Fe(CN)6] (NEt4 = Tetraethylammonium, 5-Cl-salen = N,N‘-Ethylenebis((5-chlorosalicylidene)aminato))
TL;DR: In this paper, the discrete trinuclear complex (NEt4) was synthesized in the monoclinic space group P21/c with cell dimensions of a = 13.104, b = 12.861, c = 15.526, and β = 105.98.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, structure and biological activity of cobalt(II) and copper(II) complexes of valine-derived schiff bases.
TL;DR: Compound 3 was proven to be a broad spectrum agent and showed a significant inhibition of the growth of Gram-positive bacteria and pathogenic fungi and was found to be non-toxic to human erythrocytes even at a concentration of 500mug/mL.
