TL;DR: In this paper, a digital twin modeling method for substation equipment based on multi-parameter perceptual data and a method for equipment operation state evaluation is proposed to realize real-time perception and evaluation of the running state of equipment by using digital technology such as sensor, Internet of Things, virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
Abstract: The comprehensive perception of substation equipment status is the precondition of ensuring safe operation and realizing intelligent patrol inspection of substation. With the development of digital power grid, higher requirements are put forward for the fine management of power equipment. Digital twin technology is one of the ideal ways to realize the real-time perception and evaluation of the running state of equipment by using digital technology such as sensor, Internet of Things, virtual reality and artificial intelligence. Aiming at the problem of precision constraint and error accumulation of physical model, a digital twin modeling method for substation equipment based on multi-parameter perceptual data and a method for equipment operation state evaluation is proposed.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors present a solution for the implementation of a platform for operating systems such as Windows XP, 7, S or 10, 11, but also for the porting of all the functionalities of this platform to the Windows Compact Embedded real-time operating system.
Abstract: The need to have increasingly reliable and effective systems led to the rapid development of SCADA systems, the systems that can be found everywhere today. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems are used for supervise and control different industrial processes. One of these solutions is presented in this article. This solution includes the implementation of a platform for operating systems such as Windows XP, 7, S or 10, 11, but also for the porting of all the functionalities of this platform to the Windows Compact Embedded real-time operating system. The testing and evaluation of this solution led to its validation.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors proposed a virtual transformer load forecasting model in which the sum of all transformer loads in the region is a number of times the virtual transformer forecasting result. But the model does not consider the individual transformer characteristics.
Abstract: It is critical to forecast the electric load for a region. Traditional electric load forecasting frequently predicts the load of multiple transformers in the region after directly summing them, but directly predicting the total load after accumulating the load of each distribution transformer will weaken the individual time-series characteristics and reduce prediction accuracy, so it is necessary to forecast the total load of the region while appropriately retaining the individual time-series characteristics. To address the aforementioned issues, this paper clusters transformer load curves, narrows the load characteristics of the same category of transformers using the weighting concept. It stores the load characteristics of multiple transformers in a neural network. This paper develops a virtual transformer load forecasting model in which the sum of all transformer loads in the region is a number of times the virtual transformer load forecasting result.

TL;DR: Smart energy efficient home automation system is proposed that can access and control the home equipments from every corner of the world.
Abstract: Advancement in IoT based application has become the state-of-the art technology among the researcher due to the availability of Internet everywhere. To make the application more user friendly, web based and android based technologies have gained their importance in this cutting edge technology. In this paper, smart energy efficient home automation system is proposed that can access and control the home equipments from every corner of the world. For this system, Internet connectivity module is attached to the main supply unit of the home system which can be accessed through the Internet. For wireless connectivity, the static IP address is used. Home automation is based on multimodal application that can be operated using voice recognition command of the user using the Google Assistant or through a web based application. Thus, main objective of this work is to make our home automation system more secure and intelligent.

TL;DR: An energy saving electrical device Surveillance and Control system based on IOT and two different model approaches is followed depending on the nature of application.
Abstract: with every enhancement in Internet in terms of speed and bandwidth, IOT (Internet Of things) is taking the market on a new node and knocking the door with new opportunities of inventions. This paper talks about an energy saving electrical device Surveillance and Control system based on IOT. A large amount of energy is consumed by lighting appliances, so making improved efficiency and quick fault detection is a significant challenge. In this work, two different model approaches is followed depending on the nature of application. For small areas or confined premises IEEE 802.11 wireless technology is used where all the appliances is connected to a common Wi-Fi network. In the second model like street lamp pole where number of appliances grows only in one direction, wired configuration is used to avoid range issue.

TL;DR: The experimental results showed that the developed energy monitoring system can successfully record the voltage, current, active power and accumulative power consumption.
Abstract: In this paper, we design and implement a low-cost IoT energy monitoring system that can be used in many applications, such as electricity billing system, energy management in smart grid and home automation. The design is based on a low-cost PZEM-004T, using non-invasive CT sensors, SD3004 electric energy measurement chip and ESP8266 Wemos D1 mini microcontroller for retrieving data from sensor nodes and sending data to server via internet. The experimental results showed that the developed energy monitoring system can successfully record the voltage, current, active power and accumulative power consumption.

TL;DR: The proposed SCADA system is based on the Internet of Things (IoT) SCADA architecture which incorporates web services with the conventional SCADA for a robust supervisory control and monitoring.
Abstract: This paper presents the development of a low cost, open source Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for solar photovoltaic (PV) system monitoring and remote control. The proposed SCADA system is based on the Internet of Things (IoT) SCADA architecture which incorporates web services with the conventional SCADA for a robust supervisory control and monitoring. It comprises of analog Current and Voltage sensors for acquiring the desired data from the solar PV system, Arduino Uno micro-controller which serves as a Remote Terminal Unit to receive the acquired sensor data, Raspberry Pi with a Node-RED programming tool for parsing the acquired data (Communication Channel), and Emoncms Local Server IoT Platform for data storage, monitoring and remote control (Master Terminal Unit). The developed SCADA system was set up to monitor and control a 260W, 12V solar PV panel in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Laboratory at Memorial University, and some of the created Dashboards and Charts showing the acquired data on Emoncms server where an operator can monitor the data in the cloud using both a computer with internet access, and Emoncms mobile app are presented in the paper.
