In this article, the results of an analysis of the large-scale anisotropy of cosmic rays in the PeV range were presented, and the Rayleigh formalism was applied to the right ascension distribution of extensive air showers measured by the KASCADE (Karlsruhe Shower Core and Array Detector) experiment.Abstract:
We present the results of an analysis of the large-scale anisotropy of cosmic rays in the PeV range. The Rayleigh formalism is applied to the right ascension distribution of extensive air showers measured by the KASCADE (Karlsruhe Shower Core and Array Detector) experiment. The data set contains about 108 extensive air showers in the energy range 0.7-6 PeV. No hints of anisotropy are visible in the right ascension distributions in this energy range. This accounts for all showers, as well as for subsets containing showers induced by predominantly light or heavy primary particles, respectively. Upper flux limits for Rayleigh amplitudes are determined to be between 10-3 at a primary energy of 0.7 PeV and 10-2 at 6 PeV.read more

A search for small and medium scale anisotropy of cosmic rays above 1 PeV registered at the Tunka-133 array
TL;DR: In this article, a search for anisotropy at different scales in the arrival directions of cosmic rays with energies above 1 PeV is performed with data of the Tunka-133 array.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the main sources of these errors: the choice of the hadronic interaction model and of the mass of the primary particle (that cannot be measured on a event by event basis).

Recent results from the pierre auger observatory
TL;DR: The Pierre Auger Observatory in Argentina is the largest cosmic ray detector array ever built and has been taking data continuously since January 2004 as discussed by the authors, with emphasis on the energy spectrum and studies of composition and arrival directions of the ultrahigh energy cosmic rays.

Galactic Anisotropy of Cosmic Ray Intensity Observed by an Air Shower Experiment
TL;DR: In this paper, the observed sidereal daily variation is compared to the expected variation which includes the Compton-getting effect due to the motion of the earth in the Galaxy and an anisotropy has been observed which is due to a unidirectional anisotropic of cosmic ray flow along the Galactic arms.

CORSIKA: A Monte Carlo code to simulate extensive air showers
TL;DR: In this paper, the evolution of the information seeking and use models for professionals, essentially, the information access practices, is discussed. But two main categories can be distinguished : the informationseeking and use model versus the information retrieval model, and we will evaluate them in order to see if a convergence is possible with the same vocabulary and procedures.

Quark-Gluon String Model and EAS Simulation Problems at Ultra-High Energies
TL;DR: The reliability of model calculations is of considerable significance because at energies above those attained by accelerators only model predictions enable us to extract primary cosmic ray characteristics as discussed by the authors, which is of particular relevance in the case of EAS simulations.

TL;DR: The KASCADE experiment as mentioned in this paper was designed to measure air showers of primary cosmic-ray energies in the PeV region and to investigate the knee phenomenon in the all-particle energy spectrum.
