Three dimensional numerical solution for the bending study of magneto-piezo-elastic spherical and cylindrical shells

TL;DR: In this paper, an exact solution for the static analysis of magneto-electro-elastic simply supported shallow shells panels is presented, where mechanical equations are derived via equilibrium elasticity relations and electrical and magnetic governing equations are obtained by electrostatic and magnetostatic equilibrium relations.

Development of computational efficient shell formulation for analysis of multilayered structures subjected to mechanical, thermal, and electrical loadings

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a robust finite shell model suitable for numerical applications in solid mechanics with a remarkable reduction in computational cost, where the shell element with node-dependent capabilities enables one to vary the kinematic assumptions within the same finite element.

Three-Dimensional Free Vibration Analysis of Multiphase Piezocomposite Structures

TL;DR: In this article, a three-dimensional semianalytical method for the analysis of free vibration of a structure composed of piezoelectric and elastic materials is developed, where the mechanical displacement and electric potential functions, in each region, are expressed as products of a 3D base function and a polynomial with unknown coefficients.
