Antecedents of fatal overdose in an adult cohort identified through administrative record linkage in Indiana, 2015-2022.
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors examined touchpoints within 12-months prior to a fatal overdose among an adult cohort and explored variation over time and by demographic characteristics, finding that prison release had the highest touchpoint rate followed by emergency medical services responses, jail booking, emergency department visits, and prescription medication dispensation.
