Letter pattern recognition unit

TL;DR: In this article, the average recognition speed and accuracy were increased by distinguishing the in-system letters from the tee out-system letter, through the normal print for the in system letters and aheading the code representing the out system code for the out-System letters.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the average recognition speed and to make the recognition accuracy high, by distinguishing the in-system letters from tee out-system letters, thru the normal print for the in-system letters and aheading the code representing the out-system letters for the out-system letters.

TL;DR: In this article, the stroke system information of the characters drawn on the predetermined form 2 of an input device 1 is supplied to an arithmetic control unit 3, where it is subjected to predetermined signal processing Every time when the unit 3 is inputted with one stroke system, it polygonally approximates the stroke, obtains the coordinate positions of its start point, folding point and end point, and registers these as one segment information into a memory device.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To make possible the discrimination between resembling characters and recognize characters effectively by dividing the stroke system information of characters to the segments approximated by polygons and detecting the features of the crossing and approaching of the respective segments CONSTITUTION:The stroke system information of the characters drawn on the predetermined form 2 of an input device 1 is supplied to an arithmetic control unit 3, where it is subjected to predetermined signal processing Every time when the unit 3 is inputted with one stroke system information of the segment showing the character information, it polygonally approximates the stroke, obtains the coordinate positions of its start point, folding point and end point, and registers these as one segment information into a memory device 4 At the instant when the unit 3 completes segment dividing processing for one character, it reads every two pieces of the stroke information from the memory device 4, decides the features of the crossing and approaching of the two strokes and registers the result thereof in a crossing- approaching feature memory device 5 The unit 3 recognizes the inputted character information by referring to the recognition information of the character stored in a recognizing ditionary 6
