Structural failure study of laminated composites: the bundle optimization approach
TL;DR: In this article, a nonconvex energy bundle method for the structural failure study of composite structures is proposed, and two different simulations are considered: the first simulation defines a priori known critical surfaces in the structure called interfaces, assuming that their behavior obeys nonmonotone possible multivalued constitutive laws.

Projection onto simplicial cones by Picard's method
TL;DR: Moreau's decomposition theorem for projecting onto simplicial cones was used in this paper to find the unique solution of a nonsmooth system of equations associated with the problem of projecting a point onto a simplicial cone.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
A Friction Model for Non-Singular Complementarity Formulations for Multibody Systems With Contacts
TL;DR: A new discretized friction model is presented which results in an LCP formulation with a full-rank lead matrix, which behaves as close to the Coulomb model as the other discretization models.
Journal ArticleDOI
On discontinuous motions in systems with unilateral constraints
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that in the case of ideal constraints, if the reactions of the constraints at the starting time are non-zero, there cannot be any discontinuous motion.
