Which way her private and emotional life can affect to the knowledge about her public and professional life? TL;DR: La Iglesia Metodista Episcopal de Mexico divulgo, durante el porfiriato (1877- 1910), el conocimiento medico basado en la ciencia de la epoca unido a sus creencias religiosas as discussed by the authors, entre sus preceptos fundamentales que la ignorancia conducia irremediablemente al pecado, and por ello, resultaba necesario instruir a los feligreses en el terreno cientifico.
Abstract: La Iglesia Metodista Episcopal de Mexico divulgo, durante el porfiriato (1877- 1910), el conocimiento medico basado en la ciencia de la epoca unido a sus creencias religiosas. Esta divulgacion tuvo como medio impreso al periodico metodista El Abogado Cristiano Ilustrado, mismo que llegaba a todas las congregaciones dispersas en el territorio mexicano. La Iglesia Metodista Episcopal tuvo entre sus preceptos fundamentales que la ignorancia conducia irremediablemente al pecado, y por ello, resultaba necesario instruir a los feligreses en el terreno cientifico. La divulgacion medica emprendida por la comunidad metodista tuvo como propositos principales: dar a conocer los adelantos medicos, combatir los vicios del alcohol y el tabaco, y reformar las medidas emprendidas por el gobierno porfirista para mejorar las condiciones de higiene publica
