Abstract: A procedure for predicting the error rates of a computer-generated holographic memory with general transform domain quantization error is developed. The kinoform, ROACH, detour phase binary hologram, and generalized detour phase binary hologram are compared on the basis of error rates and encoding efficiency. Error rates predicted by the analysis are compared with those obtained by computer simulation.

TL;DR: In this paper, an alternative formulation for time-dependent reliability is proposed, where the reliability analysis of a deteriorating structural system is based on the reliability of its structural members, which constitute a failure sequence for the structure.

TL;DR: In this article, the lifetime reliability of ship hull structures subjected to corrosion degradation, including the effects of inspection and repair actions, is analyzed, and the uncertainties in an inspection are accounted for by a probability of detection model that introduces additional probabilistic events at different inspection times.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluate the time variant reliability of ship hulls and develop an algorithm based on fast integration techniques in order to assess the structural reliability efficiently instead of the conventional numerical integration methods.
