Effects of SiC interphase on the mechanical and ablation properties of C/C-ZrC-ZrB2-SiC composites prepared by precursor infiltration and pyrolysis

TL;DR: In this paper, SiC interphase was introduced into the modified C/C composites, and the flexural strength increased by 24% and the failure mode showed brittle fracture, which could enhance the ablation resistance of the composites in short term under the action of the evaporation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical properties and fracture behaviors of epoxy composites with phase-separation formed liquid rubber and preformed powdered rubber nanoparticles: A comparative study

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of filler loading and type on the rheological properties of liquid epoxy resin suspensions and the thermal and mechanical properties of the cured composites as well as the relative fracture behaviors are systematically investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Blends of biorenewable polyamide-11 and polyamide-6,10

TL;DR: In this paper, the physicochemical properties of a promising biorenewable blend system which exhibits the novel feature of thermodynamic miscibility were investigated. But the results of the experiments were limited to the case of pure PA11 and pure PA610.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of functionalised reduced graphene oxide on frictional and wear properties of epoxy resin

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of octadecylamine functionalised reduced graphene oxide (FRGO) on the frictional and wear properties of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A epoxy are studied using pin on disc tribometry.
