Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing rigid polyurethane foam capable of reducing a difference between a density of a skin layer and a density of a core part, and also to provide rigid polyurethane foam obtained by the method and an impact absorbing material composed of the rigid polyurethane foam.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing rigid polyurethane foam includes a step of molding polyurethane foam through foaming and reacting a polyurethane foam formation composition including a polyhydroxy compound, a polyisocyanate compound, a foaming agent, a catalyst and a foam stabilizer. The composition further includes, based on 100 pts.mass of the defoaming agent, 0.1-2.0 pts.mass of the polyhydroxy compound. Rigid polyurethane foam and an impact absorbing material are obtained by the method.
