Abstract: Provided are a method for receiving a signal in a control resource set (CORESET) of a wireless communication system and a user equipment (UE) using the method. The method includes receiving a radio resource control (RRC) signal including a plurality of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states, receiving a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) informing one of the plurality of TCI states and receiving a signal in the CORESET based on the one TCI state. When the CORESET is CORESET #0, the one TCI state is related with a reference signal associated with a synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel block (SSB).

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for low-overhead and low latency multi-beam operation in an advanced wireless communication system. A method of a user equipment (UE) for a multi-beam operation in a wireless communication system includes: receiving, from a base station (BS), a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource configuration; receiving, from the BS, a triggering message instructing the UE to transmit an SRS; receiving, from the BS, a configuration for a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state that includes an identification (ID) indicating the SRS resource configuration; identifying a set of resources to transmit the SRS; and transmitting, to the BS over an uplink channel, the SRS based on the SRS resource configuration with a spatial domain transmission filter. The UE receives a downlink transmission from the BS with a spatial domain receive filter that is determined according to the ID included in the TCI state that is indicated for the downlink transmission.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for determining a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) to be applied to data in a wireless communication system, and a device therefor. Specifically, the method may comprise the steps of: reporting, to a base station, channel state information including a first measurement value related to a channel state between a terminal and the base station; receiving at least one downlink reference signal from the base station; calculating a second measurement value related to the channel state by using the received at least one downlink reference signal; when the second measurement values is equal to or smaller than a preconfigured threshold value in comparison with the first measurement value, transmitting, to the base station, a specific uplink signal requesting a change of an MCS designated to downlink data; and receiving the downlink data, to which the changed MCS has been applied, from the base station.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide a method and apparatus for transmitting downlink control information (DCI), for solving the technical problem that neither the existing protocol nor the communication system has a method for encoding sounding reference signal resource indication (SRI) and pre-coding matrix indication (TPMI) or rank indication (TRI) information. The method comprises: a network device determines the number of candidate values of preset indication information borne by a preset indication field in the downlink control information (DCI), the preset indication information comprising one of or a combination of two of the sounding reference signal resource indication (SRI) and pre-coding matrix indication (TPMI) or rank indication (TRI) information; the network device determines the length of the preset indication field according to the number of candidate values of the preset indication information, and encodes the preset indication information according to the length to generate the DCI; and the network device sends the DCI to the UE.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for a User Equipment (UE) to concurrently transmit Uplink Control Information (UCI) and data information to a Node B. The Node B can configure the UE whether to transmit UCI together with data information in a Physical Uplink Shared CHannel (PUSCH) or, separate from data information, in a Physical Uplink Control CHannel (PUCCH). The UE may also determine whether to transmit UCI together with data information in the PUSCH or, separate from data information, in the PUCCH based on criteria involving either a ratio of PUSCH resources for UCI transmission over the total PUSCH resources, a Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) for the data information, an absolute power difference between PUCCH and PUSCH transmissions, whether the PUSCH transmission uses frequency hopping, or whether spatial multiplexing is used for the data transmission.

Abstract: A method for transmitting a reference signal by a base station in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes transmitting configuration information for a reference signal to a terminal, performing a scrambling operation which multiplies the reference signal by a sequence on the basis of a beam group identifier for each of at least two beam groups set on a single cell, and transmitting the reference signal, to which the scrambling operation has been performed on the basis of the configuration information, to the terminal.

Abstract: A transmitter or receiver may use beamforming methods for transmitting or receiving a signal in a communication system. The method for transmitting includes determining a first beamforming weight associated with a total number of antennas in an antenna array. The method also includes transmitting a first signal in a first beam having a first beam width using the total number of antennas by applying the first predetermined beamforming weight. The method further includes determining a second beamforming weight associated with a first sub-array of antennas in the antenna array and determining a third beamforming weight associated with a second sub-array of antennas in the antenna array. The method still further includes transmitting a second signal in a second beam having a second beam width using the first sub-array of antennas by applying the second beamforming weight and the second sub-array of antennas by applying the third beamforming weight.

Abstract: A method of user equipment (UE) for channel state information (CSI) reporting in a wireless communication system. The method comprises receiving, from a base station (BS), configuration information for the CSI reporting, configuring a plurality of combinations of resources out of a pool of resources, wherein the pool of resources includes two channel state information-reference signals (CSI-RSs) and one channel state information-interference measurement (CSI-IM) based on the configuration information, wherein the two CSI-RSs include CSI-RS 1 and CSI-RS 2 , deriving CSI values from the plurality of combinations of resources, respectively, to generate a CSI report message; and transmitting, to the BS, the CSI report message including the CSI values.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of setting uplink transmission power by a terminal in a wireless communication system. The method of setting uplink transmission power by the terminal may include: assigning a plurality of serving cells by a base station; transmitting a random access message including a random access preamble from a secondary cell Scell of the plurality of serving cells to the base station; receiving a random access response message from the base station in response to the random access message; and resetting, in response to receiving the random access response message, a factor of an accumulated mode representing the current uplink transmission control adjusted state at the Scell to which the random access message is transmitted.
