Abstract: Penelitian merupakan sebuah kegiatan yang dilakukan secara ilmiah untuk menemukan jawaban atas permasalahan. Penelitian diartikan sebagai suatu proses pengumpulan dan analisis data yang dilakukan secara sistematis dan logis untuk mencapai tujuan-tujuan tertentu. Pengumpulan dan analisis data yang dimaksud adalah dengan menggunakan metode-metode ilmiah, baik yang bersifat kuantatif maupun kualitatif tergantung tujuan penelitian. Salah satu langkah dalam melakukan penelitian adalah dengan mengumpulkan data yang akan dipakai sebagai bahan pengambilan kesimpulan untuk mendapatkan jawaban penelitian.Pengumpulan data dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai metode sesuai dengan tujuan dan karakteristik penelitian. Data yang telah dikumpulkan perlu dicek keabsahannya untuk dikenali validitasnya. Pengecekan data untuk memperoleh keyakinan terhadap kebenaran data pada penelitian kualitatif dapat dilakukan dengan triangulasi. Triangulasi merupakan metode sintesa data terhadap kebenarannya dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data yang lain atau berbagai paradigma triangulasi. Data yang dinyatakan valid melalui triangulasi akan memberikan keyakinan terhadap peneliti tentang keabsahan datanya, sehingga tidak ragu dalam pengambilan kesimpulan terhadap penelitian yang dilakukan.

Abstract: Indonesia is a member of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) that should own the quality of human resources. The education is the key to answer the demand of AEC. SMK Negeri 1 Bukiittingi, SMK PGRI Tanjung Raja and SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras were institutions that ensure alumnus to world industry. Here we explored the strategy of headmaster on making educational quality toward AEC. We used qualitative phenomenology method in this article. To get the data, we used interview and document study. The results obtained indicate that the strategy of headmasters were upgrading teachers’ competence, upgrading students’ competence, developing curriculum and improving infrastructure.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the condition of PAI teachers in teaching related to the use of instructional media. This study uses a qualitative approach. The instrument of this research is the researcher himself. Key informants are PAI teachers, while supporting informants are principals, teachers and students as well as other informants who are obtained by using snow-ball sampling. The findingsof the study obtained an overview of the conditions of theimplementation of the process of religious learning conducted by the teacher. In this case therelationship with variations in using instructional media. It was found in this study that in generalthe teaching teacher was accustomed to traditional ways and could not use the media. Besidesthat, the instructional media available in schools cannot be used for various reasons. And eventeachers have been satisfied with the teaching conditions that have been carried out for years,so they are not interested in using the right instructional media in accordance with the learningmaterial provided.
