Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Copper II and Silver I Complex with 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane[Cu(CBC)2(Dabco)(H2O)]n (1) and [Ag2(HBC)2(Dabco)]n (2)

TL;DR: Two 1D polymeric complexes, [Cu(CBC)2(Dabco)(H2O)n (1) and [Ag2(HBC)2 (DabCO)]n (2) have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray single crystal analysis, where CBCH is p-chlorobenzoic acid, HBCH 2 is 2-hydroxybenzoic acids and Dabco is 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2]octane as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conserved supramolecular architecture in polymetallic nucleobase complexes

TL;DR: The single crystal X-ray structures of two different polynuclear metal-nucleobase complexes are reported in this paper, where the structure of the Pd(II) and PdCl(N 3-A-Et-en) is characterized as a coordination polymer.

Photodimerization in the solid state

TL;DR: In this article, a review of solid-state photochemistry can be found under four parallel headings: first, analysis of the topochemical postulate according to which the course of the solid state reaction and the stereochemistry of the photodimer (if any) can be predicted from the configuration and nearest-neighbour geometry of closest monomer molecules in the crystal lattice; secondly, the study of the lOCUS of the reaction, that is the dependence of the course or (dimerization, cis trans isomerization) on crystal texture (dislocation

The development of versions 3 and 4 of the Cambridge Structural Database System

TL;DR: The CSD itself acts as a computerized depository for large-volume numerical results for some 30 journals and may conveniently be categorized according to its "dimensionality", as described below and illustrated in Figure 1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Organic Polymeric and Non-Polymeric Materials with Large Optical Nonlinearities

TL;DR: In this paper, the electronic origins of nonlinear optical effects in organic π electronic systems are reviewed, with special emphasis being given to second-order nonlinear effects, and the critical relationships of the propagation characteristics of light to observed non-linear optical effect and to solid-state structure are discussed.
