Abstract: Problem solving skills are one of the skills needed by students in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, so it becomes a challenge for a teacher to design creative learning. One of the media that supports students' problem solving skills is to use worksheets. Meanwhile, the worksheets used so far are general in nature. Suitable worksheets are developed that support students in solving problems, namely problem solving-based worksheets. This study aims to analyze the need for problem solving-based student worksheets. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. This needs analysis is part of the research and development of the 4D model, specifically the Define stage. The subjects in this study were students of class XII in SMA Negeri 3 Cirebon City and chemistry teachers as informants. The results showed that students needed worksheets that were more attractive and easy to understand. The worksheets available are in accordance with KD, KI and the 2013 curriculum, but not yet according to student needs. Based on data obtained from several analyzes including analysis of student perceptions, teacher perceptions, student characteristics, curriculum, assignments, concepts and analysis of learning objectives. So it is necessary to develop problem solving worksheets, especially in the matter of ionic equilibrium and pH of salt solutions which can train students to solve problems and relate theory to facts in everyday life.

Abstract: Pengabadian ini dilakukan di Desa Karya Indah Kecamatan Tapung, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan lembaga keuangan syariah yang berbentuk Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil. Kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk mengenalkan produk-produk syariah lainnya, agar masyarakat muslim familiar dengan lembaga keuangan syariah. Selain itu juga tujuannya adalah agar masyarakat berkeinginan untuk mendirikan lembaga keuangan Baitul Mal Wat-Tamwil di desa tersebut. Program penyuluhan dapat diselenggarakan dengan baik dan berjalan dengan lancar sesuai dengan rencana kegiatan yang telah disusun meskipun belum semua peserta penyuluhan menguasai dengan baik materi yang disampaikan. Kegiatan ini mendapat sambutan sangat baik terbukti dengan keaktifan peserta mengikuti penyuluhan dengan tidak meninggalkan tempat sebelum waktu pelatihan berakhir. Keberhasilannya dapat dilihat dari: 1) Tersedia tenaga ahli yang memadai dalam pengembangan BMT, karena hingga saat ini lembaga keuangan bank dan non bank sangat banyak juga alumni sarjana ekonomi syariah dan magister ekonomi syariah di riau sangat banyak. 2) Antusiasme masyarakat desa karya indah yang cukup tinggi terhadap pelatihan pengembangan desanya melalui BMT. 3) Dukungan kepala dusun desa karya indah terhadap kegiatan ini menambah semangat dalam kegitan pelatihan dan membantu tim pengabdi mengorganisasikan waktu dan tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan. Dan 4) Ketersediaan dana pendukung dari Universitas melaui guna penyelenggaraan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini. Hambatannya dilihat dari: 1) Masyarakat desa Karya indah yang merupakan peserta penyuluhan masih banyak yang belum memiliki pengetahuan tentang lembaga keuangan syariah (BMT), 2) Keterbatasan waktu untuk pelaksanaan penyuluhan sehingga beberapa materi tidak dapat disampaikan secara detil. Dan 3) Daya tangkap para peserta yang bervariasi, ada yang cepat namun juga ada yang lambat sehingga waktu yang digunakan kurang maksimal, sehingga waktu yang ada tidak cukup untuk menjelaskan semuanya.

Abstract: Educational design research is a genre of research in which the iterative development of solutions to practical and complex educational problems provides the setting for scientific inquiry. The solutions can be educational products, processes, programs, or policies. Educational design research not only targets solving significant problems facing educational practitioners but at the same time seeks to discover new knowledge that can inform the work of others facing similar problems. Working systematically and simultaneously toward these dual goals is perhaps the most defining feature of educational design research. This chapter seeks to clarify the nature of educational design research by distinguishing it from other types of inquiry conducted in the field of educational communications and technology. Examples of design research conducted by different researchers working in the field of educational communications and technology are described. The chapter concludes with a discussion of several important issues facing educational design researchers as they pursue future work using this innovative research approach.

Buku ini ditutup dengan pembahasan tentang siswa sebagai subjek belajar yang merupakan pertimbangan utama perencanaan dan desain pembelajaran.

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, self-efficacy siswa dan hubungan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan self-efficacy siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Ciamis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 389 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Ciamis yang berasal dari 13 sekolah dengan kategori strata tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Sampel dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan stratified proporsional random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 389 siswa yang dijadikan subjek penelitian memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam kriteria rendah. Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan keadaan tersebut diantaranya adalah siswa kurang memahami informasi pada soal, siswa kurang mampu membuat model matematis, dan siswa kurang teliti dalam menyelesiakan soal. Rata-rata self-efficacy siswa berada pada kriteria sedang, yaitu 91,17. Hubungan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan self-efficacy siswa termasuk kategori sangat rendah karena nilai r sebesar 0,104. An Analysis of Mathematics Problem Solving Ability and Self-Efficacy Students of Junior High School in Ciamis Regency Abstract This study aims to describe the mathematics problem-solving ability, self-efficacy of students and the relationship between the problem solving and self-efficacy of the grade VIII students of the junior high school in Ciamis Regency. This study was categorized as survey research. The research subjects were 389 junior high school grade VIII in Ciamis Regency from 13 schools which were categorized as high, moderate and low schools. The research sample was selected by means of the stratified proportional random sampling technique. The results of the study are as follows, 389 students as the research subject have low criteria in problem-solving ability. Factors that cause this situation, such as students are less understanding of existing information on the problem, students are less able to make mathematical models, and students are less thorough in problem-solving. The average of students’ self-efficacy was at moderate criteria, 91.17. The relationship between problem-solving ability and self-efficacy of students was at very low criteria because of the r-value of 0.104.
