New metal complexes derived from 1-acetyl-trimethylammonium chloride-4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazide with some dipositive metal ions
TL;DR: In this paper, the preparation and chatacterization of dipositive metal ion complexes derived from 1-acetyltrimethylammonium chloride-4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazide [(ATPTS)] Cl is reported.
Abstract: The preparation and chatacterization of some dipositive metal ion complexes derived from 1-acetyltrimethylammonium chloride-4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazide [(ATPTS)] Cl is reported. The solid complexes with the composition [M(ATPTS)X2] Cl.nH2 O, (M=Mn(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Hg(II); X=Cl, Br, 1/2SO4, Ac or NO2 and n=O-3), [M(ATPTS)X2]Cl2, (M=Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II); X=Cl(Br), [Co(ATPTS) Cl(H2O)]Cl2.H2O and [Cu(ATPTS)SO4 Py2]Cl, have been characterized on the basis of elemental analyses and spectra (IR, visible and NMR), as well as magnetic and conductivity measurements. IR spectral data indicate that the ligand coordinates via the carbonyl oxygen or thiocarbonyl sulphur atoms and the appropriate hydrazide nitrogen atom to give a 5-membered chelating ring.

TL;DR: In this article, the 4-ethylthiosemicarbazide and its NH(1) derivatives have been prepared and confirmed by elemental analysis and 1H-NMR spectra to produce diverse complexes with Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II).
Abstract: 4-Ethylthiosemicarbazide and its NH(1) derivatives have been prepared and confirmed by elemental analysis and 1H NMR spectra to produce diverse complexes with Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions. The obtained complexes have been investigated based on elemental and thermal analyses, spectral (UV/VIS, ESR, mass) studies and magnetic measurements. The IR data reveal the presence of variable modes of chelation for the investigated ligands. The electronic spectra of the complexes as well as their magnetic moments provide information about geometries. The ESR spectra give evidence for the proposed structure and the bonding for some Cu(II) complexes. Thermal decomposition of some complexes ended with metal or metal oxide as a final product.

TL;DR: In this article, a series of complexes with the tridentate dibasic Schiff base ligand o-vanillin isonicotinoyl hydrazone (o-VINH) were prepared and characterized by i.a.p. and electronic spectral studies, magnetic susceptibility measurements and t.m.
Abstract: A new series of complexes with the tridentate dibasic Schiff base ligand o-vanillin isonicotinoyl hydrazone (o-VINH) were prepared and characterized by i.r., 1H n.m.r. and electronic spectral studies, magnetic susceptibility measurements and t.g.a. The disappearance of low field signals due to OH, NH protons at 10.23 and 9.31 p.p.m. and downfield shift of the −CH=N proton signal at 8.17 p.p.m. in the n.m.r. spectrum confirms the involvement of these groups in coordination. Both t.g.a. and i.r. spectral data show evidence for one molecule of coordinated H2O. These results taken in conjunction with electronic spectral data allow assignation of tetrahedral geometry for manganese(II), nickel(II) and palladium(II) complexes but a square planar configuration to cobalt(II), copper(II) amd zinc(II) complexes.

TL;DR: In this article, 1-isatin-4-phenyl-3-thiosemic-arbazone (IPTS) and 1-(α-) furyl-4-, phenyl-three-thiamymboloside (PPTS) with Ni(II, Co(II), Cu(II) and Cd(III) were synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, magnetic moments, molar conductivities and spectral (NMR, Visible, IR) measurements.
Abstract: New metal complexes derived from 1-isatin-4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazone (IPTS) and 1-(α-) furyl-4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazone (PPTS) with Ni(II), Co(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, magnetic moments, molar conductivities and spectral (NMR, Visible, IR) measurements. IR spectra show that IPTS coordinates in a tridentate manner via CN, CO and CS groups, while FPTS acts as a bidentate ligand coordinating via CN and CO groups. Magnetic and spectral studies suggest a square-planar structure for the Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes which are derived from FPTS and a low-spin octahedral structure for [Co(FPTS-H)3]· 2H2O. On the other hand, octahedral structures are proposed for the complexes of Ni(II) and Cu(II) that are derived from IPTS and a low-spin octahedral structure for [Co(IPTS-H)2]. 1HNMR spectra of the ligands and the diamagnetic complexes are discussed.
