Journal ArticleDOI
Polydiacetylene: The Ideal Low Dimensional Organic Material
G. M. Carter,Y. J. Chen,J. Georger,J. Hryniewicz,M. Rooney,Michael F. Rubner,Lynne A. Samuelson,Daniel J. Sandman,M. K. Thakur,Sukant K. Tripathy +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the diacetylene monomer is grown in the form of a large area-oriented film with controlled thickness and optical qualities, and linear and nonlinear optical properties of these systems have been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of physical aging on the relaxation of poled nonlinear optical polymers
K. Y. Wong,Qishun Shen +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of physical aging on the decay rate was studied over a series of aging temperatures, and it was found that aging effects were localized in temperature, and diminished with increasing difference between the aging and decay temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nonlinear Optical Properties of Polyenes: Electron Correlation and Chain Conformation
TL;DR: Using a recently developed many-electron theory of second and third order nonlinear optical susceptibilities, microscopic descriptions of γxxxx(-3ω;ω,ω, ω, ρ, σ) for two conformations of polyenes are presented in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
p-N,N-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde (DAB) grown by solution technique using CCl4 as growth medium
TL;DR: In this paper, a transparent crystal of p-N,N-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde (DAB) was collected and subjected various characterization studies such as UV, FTIR, 1H and 13CNMR spectral studies and thermal (TG-DTG) studies.
