TL;DR: A fault-tolerant control allocation scheme is proposed for a class of over-actuated discrete-time systems that includes a fixed allocation law and an adaptive allocation law to compensate for actuator faults, uncertainties and actuator saturations.
Abstract: In this paper, a fault-tolerant control allocation scheme is proposed for a class of over-actuated discrete-time systems. Firstly, an indirect adaptive controller is designed which consists of a parameter updating law to estimate unknown model parameters and a control law based on the estimated model parameters to achieve a desired tracking performance. Meanwhile, the control law is treated as the input of control allocation module to carry out an effective distribution to the physical actuators. Then, a control allocation algorithm is developed, which includes a fixed allocation law and an adaptive allocation law to compensate for actuator faults, uncertainties and actuator saturations. Finally, a numerical example and an aircraft model are used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.

TL;DR: DATCOM is used to calculate aerodynamic parameters based on Firebee UAV morphing aircraft with different wing configurations and analyze aerodynamic characteristics, and a novel adaptive wing morphing strategy based on reinforcement learning method is proposed.
Abstract: The morphing aircraft can change different wing shapes or geometries to achieve the optimal flight performance according to various mission scenarios. In this paper, DATCOM is used to calculate aerodynamic parameters based on Firebee UAV morphing aircraft with different wing configurations and analyze aerodynamic characteristics. A novel adaptive wing morphing strategy for morphing aircraft based on reinforcement learning method is proposed. This method can highly meet the demand of keeping optimal performance in multiple flight conditions, and the adaptive wing morphing strategy, three-loop normal load altitude controller and sliding mode velocity controller can together make sure stability of morphing aircraft during morphing process with good tracking performance.

TL;DR: In this article, a control allocation method for the tracking control problem of a class of morphing aircraft with special actuators which are different from the conventional actuation surfaces is proposed.
Abstract: This paper proposes a control allocation method for the tracking control problem of a class of morphing aircraft with special actuators which are different from the conventional actuation surfaces. This design of actuators can bring about some potential advantages to the flight vehicles; however, due to the integral constraints, the desired control cannot be performed accurately; therefore, it leads to undesirable tracking errors, so influencing the performance of the system. Because the system could be control allocated, based on the designed cost function that describes the tracking errors, the cuckoo search algorithm (CSA) is introduced to search for the optimum solution within the calculated actuator execution commands that are equivalent to the desired commands. Several improvement measures are proposed for boosting the efficiency of the CSA and ensuring reasonable solutions. Simulation results show that the proposed control allocation method is necessary and effective, and the improvement measures are helpful in obtaining the optimum solution.
