Direct leaching of molybdenum and lead from lean wulfenite raw ore

TL;DR: In this article, a direct leaching process was proposed to extract molybdenum and lead from low-grade wulfenite ore containing 2.87% Mo and 9.39% Pb, and more than 99.7% of Mo and 64.6% of Pb were extracted under conditions of 75 °C, L/S of 2:1, leaching time of 1.0 h, initial NaOH concentration of 80 g/L and stirring speed of 100 r/min.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Structure of Mononuclear Molecular Complexes of Molybdenum(VI) and Tungsten(VI) Oxy- and Dioxyhalides

TL;DR: In this paper, specific features of the synthesis and structure of mononuclear molecular halide oxide complexes of Group VI d 0 metals molybdenum(VI) and tungsten (VI) are surveyed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal oxidation of the intermetallic phases Al 8 Mo 3 and AlMo 3

TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal oxidation reactions of the intermetallic phases Al8Mo3 and AlMo3 were investigated and analyzed by ex-situ powder-x-ray diffraction (XRD), difference thermal analysis (DTA), thermogravimetry (TGA), and infrared spectroscopy (IR).
Journal ArticleDOI

Short-flow preparation of pure MoO3 from CaCO3-added molybdenite concentrate pellet by sublimation with flue gas recirculation

TL;DR: In this article, a new flowsheet for pure MoO3 production from MoS2 concentrates has been established based on the combination of calcified roasting, sublimation, and flue gas recirculation.

Atomic Radii and Interatomic Distances in Metals

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the number of covalent bonds resonating among the available positions about an atom (the metallic valence of the atom) increases from one to nearly six (5.78) in the sequence K, Ca, Sc, Ti, V, Cr in the first long period of the periodic table, remains nearly constant from Cr to Ni, and begins to decrease with Cu.
Journal ArticleDOI

A scale of electronegativity based on electrostatic force

TL;DR: In this article, an equation for the evaluation of electronegativity from the force of attraction between a nucleus and an electron from a bonded atom was presented, and the electronegativities of forty-four elements were calculated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lateral and vertical alteration-mineralization zoning in porphyry ore deposits

TL;DR: Copper and molybdenum deposits, potassic, phyllic, argillic and propylitic alteration, emphasis on San Manuel-Kalamazoo deposit of Arizona, tabulated data on characteristics of North and South American deposits as discussed by the authors.
