Critical Review on Polylactic Acid: Properties, Structure, Processing, Biocomposites, and Nanocomposites
Lalit Ranakoti,Brijesh Gangil,Sandip Kumar Mishra,Tej Singh,Shubham Sharma,R.A. Ilyas,Samah El-Khatib +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the essential physical and mechanical properties of polylactic acid (PLA) have been examined for the development of composites, biocomposites, films, porous gels, and so on.
Journal ArticleDOI
Water-stable, strong, biodegradable lignocellulose straws replacement for plastic straws
TL;DR: In this article , a simple and effective approach was developed for processing biomass and making water-stable, strong, biodegradable lignose cellulose straws (LCSs). Chemical pretreatment in an aqueous solution of nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide was used to activate residual lignin and increase the levels of phenolic hydroxyl and carboxyl groups in the biomass to enhance adhesion between fibers.

Rational and Moral Antecedents of Tourists’ Intention to Use Reusable Alternatives to Single-Use Plastics
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors examined the competing rational and moral antecedents of intention to use reusable alternatives to single-use plastics using data obtained from 653 tourists and analyzed with the structural equation modeling.
Journal ArticleDOI
Marine beach litter monitoring strategies along Mediterranean coasts. A methodological review.
TL;DR: In this article , a systematic review of current literature concerning MBL monitoring strategies along the Mediterranean coasts is presented, identifying discrepancies and similarities among the applied protocols, understand where current gaps lie, and point out what would be needed to develop a basin-scale efficient monitoring for the Mediterranean Sea.

Marine litter on Mediterranean shores: Analysis of composition, spatial distribution and sources in north-western Adriatic beaches.
TL;DR: The abundance and distribution of litter seemed to be particularly influenced by beach users, reflecting inadequate disposal practices, and the solution to these problems involves implementation and enforcement of local educational and management policies.
